Matthew hissed and warned them all to back off. Honestly he wasn't sure if he could guarantee both their safety due to how many were around him. He cursed quietly and held his blade before him, wishing he had some of the others to back him up in this. "You all will be torn to pieces if you don't back off now. Your master...or masters for that matter, will eventually be found and dismembered for what they're doing to our women." he warned them, growling and eventually grabbing one of the assaulting rogues that were aiming for Michelle first. Soon they all began to whisper "breedmate" to each other and staring all at Jasmine. "Breed..?" Matthew repeated, his eyes widening as he looked over at the other girl. Sh*t! You kidding me? Really!? he thought and cursed mentally. He was trying hard to avoid bringing in any other females besides the ones already at their compound.

He picked up Jasmine and heaved her over his shoulder, then took Michelle's hand. "We're going to have to run for now. There's too many and most likely they'll do worse than just kidnapping." he warned the two, taking off and almost tempted to fling the aunt over his other shoulder as well when they took off.

Jasmine had passed out before he had put her over his shoulder. Michelle followed him, terrified and lost. "Where are we going," she asked, wonder where it was safe from the monsters who were after her and her niece. She ran with him as fast as she could.

"Somewhere much more safer than out here." Matthew said as he sighed and cursed again as he could hear the rogues almost on their tails. Luckily they weren't far from his vehicle which he parked close by. Hell, it always sat there, he had paid a cop to make sure he wasn't ticketed every damn day for that spot. Rushing a few blocks down into the city, he then turned the corner and stopped at his vehicle, a classic 1996 camaro. "Get in." he growled as he opened the door to the passenger's seat and pushed the seat forward first in order to fit Jasmine in the back. He then rushed to the other side and got into the driver's seat. "Hurry up!" he hissed at Michelle who seemed more terrified than in a hurry.

Michelle jolted inside and closed the door, shaking in her panic.

Matthew drove off, screeching to the compound as fast as possible. He honked the horn as he reached the gates. "Open up damnit!" he yelled, sighing with relief as he didn't sense the rogues as close by any more. Hell, he was surprised they weren't chased. Once inside, he was already met by a good push on his chest, slamming him into the wall. "What the hell are you doing, bringing in these two?" Rio growled, worried about the safety of their location since it was already almost found out by Lucan's brother." he growled, looking over his shoulder at Michelle and then at Jasmine whom was laid on a chair to rest.

Jasmine frowned as she slept off the exhaustion, sensing more vampires. Michelle cowered, not knowing who any of these people were or where they were located. She only halfway trusted the one who'd driven them here because her niece had.

Matthew hissed but sighed again and looked towards the women. "They were going to get killed by rogues...one of them is a breedmate." he mentioned quietly, staring Rio in the eyes. Even with his scars, Rio looked all the more intense and angry, but his eyes softened a tad when realizing his actions. "Damnit...then you better explain this to Lucan." he said as he let go of his fellow warrior and looked at Michelle. "I take it you'd like to rest a bit." Rio muttered, clearing his throat and helping Jasmine up. "Follow me, Matthew here is going to be a while.." he added, huffing.

Michelle nodded, still shakey, and followed him. She would not leave her niece alone with any of them.

It seemed like hours for Matthew when speaking to Lucan. The guy knew how to make you feel like crap without even trying. Rio had already made arrangements for the women's stay and to bring by something to eat. Of course, with his own mate's help. He waited by the door, grinning a bit at Matthew whom looked like he was ready to kill someone. "Nice talk eh?" he mused as he walked past him. "They're inside, but the older woman doesn't seem too happy or keen about being here." he explained, walking down the hall. Matthew took a breath and walked in, seeing Jasmine still passed out and Michelle still terrified. "You alright?"

Michelle nodded after thinking for a minute. "Where are we," she asked him. "When are we able to go home?" She also wanted to know how much they wanted for letting them stay there, but she had no money to offer them. She was afraid of the alternative.

Matthew scoffed and shook his head. "I'm sorry but I don't think it's safe anymore out there for you both. Especially for your niece.." he explained, his face grim. "Those..men that were after you, they wanted her, and they would've just killed you or just use you...if they see you up there, you're both as good as dead." he added, not sparing any other details. "This place is just...a safe haven. You're not in danger."

"So we're stuck down here," Michelle concluded. "Like a prison?" She frowned. "What happens when people notice we're missing?"

"Eh...we'll take care of that." Matthew muttered, clearing his throat. Obviously those people will have their minds scrubbed and hopefully, something can be done about the situation at hand. More and more women have begun disappearing, almost like clockwork the last few nights. That meant something was afoot. "But what?", is the question that everyone has asked themselves while out on patrol. "For now, you'll have to stay with us.."

"As prisoners," Michelle frowned. "At least let Jasmine go to the yard or something. She hates not being able to see where she's going. She doesn't like to rely on others."

"Not being able to see? Can she see at all?" Matthew asked curiously, knowing another that has her problem. That little girl may just be able to help, maybe. "Either way you're free to roam as you please, but it's not recommended that you leave the compound. It's..dangerous. Very. Those people were not human, they're not anymore.." he added, his face grim with images of past massacres.

"She can sense living things. She can walk without her cane on grass because she can 'see' the hills and dips in the ground. She doesn't like being inside because she has to rely on me or someone else to make sure she isn't going to bump into something," her aunt explained. "She lost her sight when she was little. It just faded away - the doctors couldn't explain why."

Matthew chuckled, almost tempted to just spill it to the aunt. "There's reason for her sight to have disappeared...but that's something to be explained solely to her." he replied, looking over at Jasmine. "Either way, she'll have to wait to go out. She'll need some nourishment too..it seems she's exhausted." he said, sitting down and motioning towards the food. "Do you have any family that needs to be informed of the situation?"

"It's only Jasmine and me," she shook her head, frowning. "Whatever you can tell her, you can tell me, too. It's not like I have anyone to tell."

"Have you seen a certain birthmark...anywhere? That means something..." Matthew asked, nervous as to have his worst fear confirmed.

"She has a birthmark on her left hip," she frowned. "What is this birthmark you are speaking of look like?"

"Tear drop or a moon as her birthmark.." Matthew explained. "It would mean she's a special kind of woman..one that can give men like me and the others..children. Special children in fact..." he continued, going more in depth as the questions soon came about.

Michelle tried to keep her face composed, but her heart sped in fear for her niece. "Men like you...? Special children," she asked, wanting to know what this freak wanted from her precious Jaz.

Matthew grunted, feeling her anxiety increase and her heart racing. "You haven't noticed anything odd at all about me? About that other man that you met, Rio?" he asked, raising a brow as his anger at what the truth revealed about this girl. She was a breedmate, and here he was, getting ready to feed on both without knowing the next night. "We're not regular..people." he further described, sighing as he saw the sceptic look in her eyes.

Jasmine woke, though she kept the impression she was still asleep. This wasn't hard to do in the least, considering she couldn't move and her eyelids were still heavy. She heard what was going on and listened while acting.

"Not regular people," Michelle spat. "Just spit it out and let us be on our way," she frowned, wanting to get away from this freak. How did she know he wouldn't do the same as the other ones?

Matthew growled a bit and decided to just get out with it. "We're sort of like vampires. We feed on blood, are nocturnal, and the only difference is that we can actually procreate. But only with specific sorts of women and that is what your niece is. Those things that wanted her? They would've taken her to their masters in order to just be used to procreate. We saved your asses lady." he spat, his fangs now making an appearance out of anger.
