"Yeah, I have to pee," she told him, wondering why he sounded so worried. She flushed the toilet and returned to the bed, cuddling close to him.

Matthew grunted. "You were out for two days, of course I'll be worried for your health, woman." he muttered, pouting a bit as she cuddled into him.

She chuckled and kissed him softly. "I'm fine," she promised softly.

Matthew nodded, huffing. "Either way, aren't you hungry?" he asked, rubbing her back and itching to get back into the meeting room with Lucan and the others in order to figure out a game plan.

She nodded. "A little," she admitted. She was still partly full from the big meal he'd brought her when she'd woken up the last time. She could feel his anxiousness. "Are you okay," she asked.

Matthew shook his head. "I just..need to have some order in this chaos. It makes me nervous." he muttered, rubbing his face into the pillow and sighing.

She kissed his cheek, running her hands through his hair. "We're getting it figured out," she murmured softly, trying to sooth him.

Matthew sighed again, nodding. "Yeah...I know Lucan must be pissed off.." he muttered, chuckling a bit.

"Well none of us are happy," she pointed out gently. "But we're working towards making it safe enough to where all of us could have a family."

Matthew nodded, grunting as he hated how much everything was made of a mess. "Well then...go ahead and eat. I know that we're all going to gather for a meeting..at least the warriors anyway." he muttered as he got up from bed.

She nodded and got up to go eat. She blinked as Gabrielle ran down the hall and back again, yelling "The baby's coming," over and over.

Jasmine dropped her food at once and followed her to Tess' room to help.

Matthew and all the other warriors (including Dante) had almost fallen over at the mention of the news. Of course the dad to be rushed out first, anxious to be with Tess and was in the room almost immediately. "Tess is it really coming?" a suddenly anxious father to be asked. Matthew of course was almost last as he tried to find Jasmine in midst of all the chaos.

Tess nodded, holding her stomach as Jaz helped her lie down in the bed and get comfortable. She'd researched vampire births and new they needed to stay in a dark place for at least their first five years, otherwise they risk being blinded due to their extra-sensitive vampire sight. "We need hot water and plenty of towels," Jasmine said, used to taking care of animal births.

Matthew nodded towards Dante to rush to get the items needed. The women were all around of course, worried but also faithful that things would turn out ok.

Jasmine used her sixth sense to see the baby. "He's not breeched. So far so good," she murmured. Tess was in labor for several hours. When he was finally born, they let out a sigh of relief. "A healthy little kicker," Jasmine chuckled, cleaning their son off. When the umbilical cord was cut, she handed him off to Tess, who held her baby boy happily.

Jasmine smiled happily at them, pleased that she could help. She covered Tess up so she was comfortable and let them be by themselves for a while after double-checking that both mother and baby were perfectly healthy.

Matthew sighed as he watched the couple brighten up in welcoming their newborn son. The cry was as harmonious as bells ringing. It was a beautiful sight. Soon after all of them congratulated the couple and cooed at how cute the baby was (except the men who silently cooed), they all left, Matthew however was in a daze as he was outside the room to wait on Jasmine. Once she came out, he smiled and held her close with his arm, sighing. "You're perfect."

Jasmine laughed, hugging him back. "How am I perfect," she asked, smiling up at him happily.

Matthew chuckled as they quietly walked down the hall. "Just...how calm you are and such. You really made me proud in there, Jas." he said, smiling and nodding.

She blushed from the praise, smiling at him. "Well, I am a doctor. Sort of. I'm used to it."

Matthew nodded, whistling. "Pretty damn good one too, but, I'm happy for Tess and her mate, their boy is beautiful." he commented softly, resting his head on hers as they walked.

She smiled. "He is," she agreed softly, enjoying how peaceful it felt.

"So, any thoughts?" Matthew asked, clearing his throat once they made it to their own room. He couldn't help but look further into the future, perhaps seeing a child or two.

Jasmine smiled softly at him. "I'd like a child," she said softly, kissing his cheek. "When we're sure it's safe, I'd love to have one with you."

Matthew grinned, nodding. "That sounds nice. Either way, once this calm is over, you know I'll have to leave you be in order to perform my duties to Lucan." he explained, just trying to be realistic despite the heavenly moment which was the birth of a child and the calm that came with it.

She nodded and kissed him softly.
