A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Kale changed into her human form and cuddled her dad. "When can I play?"

"They're all good." his mom said. "All of them, nobody's going to hurt you again."

Brados smiled at her, holding her on one leg and Conall on the other. "A little later," he promised and kissed her forehead.

They all don't look very happy to see us, Mama, he murmured.

Kale sighed and nodded. "Alright..." she mumbled, looking down.

"They're not sure about us. this us a huge shock to all of us. It's okay." She put her son down. "Go say hi to her."

Zach looked up at his mom, then slowly walked towards Brados and Kale. ...Hi... he murmured, his head, tail, and ears down submissively.

Brados chuckled softly. "Hey, there."

Kale smiled down at him, getting off of her dad's lap and standing in front of this new boy. "I'm Kale. Do you want to see my favorite place to play?" she asked.

Zach looked at her for a moment curiously and looked back at his mom to see if he could.

His mom nodded, smiling encouragingly.

Kale waited patiently, she knew the boy was shy. Not everyone was like Kale was.

Zach looked back to Kale and nodded.

She squealed happily and grabbed his hand. "It's this way" she said, walking with him.

Sam smiled, going to stand next to Brados. "She's way to courageous." She chuckled.

Zach flinched, being jumpy where she was outgoing, but he went with her without complaint.

Brados chuckled, too, and playfully wrapped an arm around her waist and pulled her down onto the leg that Kale had just been sitting on.

Kale took him to a feild with lots of tall grass and butterflies. "I like chasing butterflies. They play back. they land on a rock and almost know when you're coming cause they fly away when you pounce!" she smiled.

Sam laughed, looking apologetically at Conall. "You could go find a girl." she said softly to her son. "Do what Kale's doing and show a girl around or something."

Conall reached for his little sister. "Izzy already knows her way around, but I can show her anyway."

Brados laughed. "A girl other than your sister," he chuckled.

Sam smiled. "Izzy's fine where she is right now. Go find a girl from this pack. Show her around. Make a new friend."

Conall sighed. "Okay..." He got off his dad's lap and went to the first girl he saw, holding his hand out to her. "Wanna see where I play," he asked.

The girl, a small, pretty blond haired bombshell looked at him shyly. She still had bruises on her face from when her father hit her before Brados killed him. She looked nervously at Conall and nodded, taking his hand. "Sure."

He smiled at her, letting her know it was okay, and held her hand as he walked to another field with a few trees and a river running through it. "I like to play in the water. It plays with you, too. It's always moving." He looked at her. "Do you like to play in water? Or with butterflies like my sister?"

The girl nodded slowly. "I like water." she said softly. "It can destroy as well as heal."

He looked at her when she said "destroy". "Our pack doesn't destroy things. We play with nature. If you're nice to nature, it will be nice back to you and your pack will thrive. That's what my uncles and daddy taught me."

She looked up at him and smiled. she hugged him, locking her arms around his waist. "Thank you." she said softly.

He blinked, surprised by the hug. "For what," he asked, confused.

"For letting us into your pack." She said softly. "For being nice to me."

"Oh. You're welcome," Conall smiled.

She blushed realizing what she had done and pulled away from him. "I-I'm sorry..."

He tilted his head innocently. "For what?" He didn't think anything of it at all.

"This pack really is different..." She mumbled, smiling slightly.
