A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.3

Nick kissed her back. "Love you, too. See you at dinner," he smiled and went back to work.

Brados shifted into his human form and smiled at her. "Hey, babe," he said cheerfully and kissed her.

Sam made a playful face and pulled away. "You're gross and sweaty..." she said and handed him the water. "You look thirsty too."

Brados pouted and sighed, taking the water and drinking greedily. "I was, thank you," he smiled at her.

She kissed him again and smiled. "You're doing good." she said, looking around. "But... it's slow... it'll take more than the 5 days you said."

"I'm beginning to realize that," he pouted, hanging his head.

"That's okay." She said, cupping his cheek. "I can help.. carry away dirt and rocks or something."

He shook his head and kissed her. "We got it, baby," he smiled. "It'll take a little longer than expected, but we'll keep at it."

she sighed, looking up at him. "As long as you don't hurt yourself." she said, running her thumb over his lips.

He smiled. "I promise, I won't get hurt by rocks. I'm too tough," he kissed her.

She kissed him back and pulled away again. "but those are big heavy ones." she said, still worried.

He raised his eyebrow. "Are you doubting me, love? Big, strong me," he teased, kissing her softly. "don't worry."

"I'm not doubting you." she said, smiling. "I know my big strong man will be able to handle anything." she said, wrapping her arms around his neck and kissed him. "I love you. so so much." She said, then kissed him again. Suddenly, a rock hit Brados' head and Kendal laughed. "Get a room!"

Brados smiled and wrapped his arms around her, kissing her softly when a rock hit his head. He growled, smirking and ran after his brother.

"Oh... Shit...." Kendal murmured then ran away, laughing. Just then, there was a rumble on the mountain next to them and rock started sliding down. Most everyone was buried, Sam most of all.

Brados laughed until he heard the rumbling and saw the rocks coming. He started running for Sam, but he was buried before he reached her.

"Olivia!" Kendal yelled. She was on one side of the mountain that was also part of the rock slide. People were running to help with water and bandages.
