Once Upon A Dream

"Umm well...." she thought about it for a moment. She wasn't quite sure which ones were the most comfortable, so she picked up the main ones she liked. "How about these?" she quesitoned.

He smiled and nodded. "Yeah, sure. Is that all? We can still walk around the mall if you want."

"Sounds like fun!" she said with a smile. "I like walking around places, and maybe I can learn more by walking around here." Kallie was prepared to make sure she knew what most teenagers knew around in this year.

He smiled and took the clothes she wanted to keep and walked with her to the checkout, pulling out his parents' credit card again to pay. When it was all bagged, he took it and her hand, walking out of the store. "Which way do you wanna go," he asked, smiling at her.

"Forward?" she said with a smile. They weren't far from the entrance, so she figured they should go farther into the mall to find more interesting things. As they walked she spotted a place with alot of gadget stuff, some tht she recognized from his house. She pulled him towards it, curious.

He smiled and walked with her. "An appliance store," he asked, still holding her hand.

"Is that what this place is?" she questioned with a smile. She pulled him into the store wiht her and gazed at some of the things inside. They had mixers and a bunch of stuff that seemed pretty cool to her. She looked at the names of some of the things and could kind of guess what they might do.

He smiled, seeing her look so curiously at everything. "Don't be afraid to ask me any questions," he told her softly.

She didn't want to ask too many questions so she tried to figured most of it out on her own. "Do you have most of this in your home?" she questioned curiously. If he did, then she hoped his parents never bothered to ask for her help in the kitchen, until of course he taught her how to use these things.

He nodded. "Yeah. We hardly use any of it, though. My parents normally order take-out.

"Good" she said with a smile. "Then what store would you like to go to?" she questioned him. She didn't really know what things he liked just yet, so she figured this might be a chance to get to know him better.

He smiled. "Actually, I was gonna pick up some rollerblades and maybe get you a pair, if you wanted to try," he said.

"I'd love to have a pair of roller blades" Kallie said with a smile. She'd never really heard of them, but if he liked them, surely she would too.

He smiled and walked with her to the sporting goods store and got his size in rollerblades, picking out her size and taking them to her. "You put them on like normal tennis shoes. I'll help you stand so you can try them out," he smiled, taking his shoes off and slipping the blades on.

Kallie put her roller blades on as well as she could, which was pretty good sice she was getting good at the whole shoes thing that are the kind she isn't used to. She watched him put his on and smiled. This did look like fun. "I am ready when you are" she told him, feeling a bit of anticipation.

He smiled and stood, holding out his hands for her. He balanced easily on the wheels under his feet, in total control. "Be careful. It takes some getting used to," he warned her gently.

"Okay" she said with a smile, taking a hold of his hands and pulling herself up. She could do it, but was a little shaky. In the process of shifting though, her right foot kept going and she slipped backwards.

He caught her, his control unshaken. "Are you alright," he asked, helping her gain her balance.

"I think so" she replied, her eyes a little big. This didn't seem very safe to her at all. Riding a horse? That was easy. So far this didn't seem easy at all. "Just- don't let go please" she said a little uneasily.

"I won't," he promised, one arm around her waist, the other holding her hand. "Find your center of balance and try to go forward," he told her gently.

She picked up one foot and realized how heavy it was and quickly set it down again. That didn't seem like a good idea. Instead, she inched one foot forward a little, then the other a little. She then glanced at him. "Like that?" she questioned.

He nodded encouragingly and looked up to another guy trying out skates. "Look at him," he told her gently. "That's how you really skate. We'll take our time, though," he smiled at her gently. "We have all day."

She watched the other guy skate for a moment. "This may take a while" she said with a slight smile. "So it is a good thing we have all day. When will we see your parents?" she questioned, a little worried about it.

He shrugged. "Whenever you think you're ready to go home. It's up to you," he told her.

"Okay" she said with a slight smile. She decided then that she'd give this skating more of a try. She let one of her feet slide forward again and let the other follow. It was a bit easier now. "I think I can do this" she said, a little uncertain. "You can let go and also skate if you wish"
