Bloody nights~ Moonangel

Darren then got inside, yawning once more and putting on his seat belt. "So, you know any good clubs or bars?" he asked, stretching a bit and looking ahead. It was cloudy and smelled kind of like rain, as if it were to become a thunderstorm soon.

"Eh, or two" she said, pulling out of the parking lot. She started down the street int he car, and began her way to a club she had heard about. She wanted to go there because it had an odd name. It was called 'Have a nice day'. The first time she saw it it had made her laugh. Why not? She went a couple of blocks before reaching it, as it wasn't hard to find a club or bar when you worked downtown. "Here we are.."

Darren chuckled. "Odd name, never really noticed the club before til now." he said as they parked. Getting out, he could hear nice jazz music, then switching off to a techno beat, must've been a mix. Over the years he developed a liking for the music of this time, though still missing the music of his era.

Lauren got out of the car and locked it. "Yeah, odd but good" she said with a smile. She head up to the entrance and was admitted pretty easily. She normally didn't have problems getting into these places.

Darren followed, obviously let in as well. With his glamour, the bouncer couldn't just find the courage or rather the willingness to not let him through. Going inside, he chuckled. Interesting music choice...easy enough to get a sample of my 'boss's' blood.

When she got in, she chose a table and sat down. She ordered herself a beer and looked over at Darren when he came over. "You want anything?" she questioned as the bartender came back with her beer.

Darren shook his head. "Not at the moment." he smiled, though obviously he never drank. He was dead, no vampire could taste anything but particularly the taste of blood. Perhaps it was only instinct that allowed them to taste blood in some unnatural way?

"Alrighty then" she said, and took a drink of her beer before setting it down again. She really didn't know what to say, since she didn't often hang with anyone. Especially people she worked with, though it seemed that would be changing.

"Eh, I have a simple stomach when it comes to food and...drinks. Anyways, so, you have any family here in town?" he asked, looking over her and around the inside of the club. A huge crowd for a new club. Not a bad one either.

"Eh, not much" she admitted. "My uncle lives on the outskirts of the town and a cousin of mine lives about twenty minutes away, near the suburbs." She shrugged, and let her eyes wander a little before landing back on him. "How about you? Any family in town?"

"Eh, not much either. Most of them are in europe. So, yeah." Darren chuckled. Obviously it was a dark joke. His family had descendants but he had lost track after a long while. Every few months he likes to see the tombstones and reminisce.

"Europe, eh? Never been there. Must be pretty neat" she said with a smile. She of course didn't get the joke, or even realize it was a joke. Why would she? She was a mortal and didn't think about whether or not they were dead. She took another drink of her beer and started on a second one.

"Do you have a high tolerance of alcohol?" Darren asked, chuckling as he watched her chug down another beer. Her second one in fact. He yawned, looking around and sighing. So many varieties to drink from, but he was most interested in this one. Something about her drew his bloodlust.

"Usually I do. Just depends on what I'm drinking. As for just beers, it takes quite a bit to for me to get drunk off them. I never bothered couting, but more than 3 or 4 to get a buzz." she said with a wry smile. She'd been told before that at times she drank like a sailor when she did drink, but she didn't care. She finished off that beer soon enough and ordered some vodka next. She knew she needed something a bit stronger, though all she really would want is a buzz maybe.

"Well then you must've been a mighty good sailor back then. In some other life perhaps." Darren joked, watching as she chugged down another beer. The woman definitely had a good take for alcohol. "Vodka? Wow, your liver must be having a blast." he rolled his eyes playfully.

She smiled and laughed. She was starting to feel the buzz, now that she was drinking vodka. "My liver'll be fine, I'm sure. I don't drink more than once a month." She took another drink of her vodka. It was tastey, as she loved the burn it left in her throat. When she finished her vodka a few minutes latrer, she knew she was buzzed and maybe borderline drunk.

Darren grinned. "You need to go home yet?" he asked, chuckling. He knew that most people had a limit to their alcohol. Plus, this only made it so much easier for him. "You had your fill yet?" he asked, smirking.

"Yeah, I've had my fill" she murmured. She wasn't quite drunk, but she was on the in between stage of bizzed and drunk. That was good enough for her. She paid the bartender however much the drinks cost, because she needed to stop. "Imma ready to head home." She stood, steadied herself, and motioned for him to come over. "You ready to go?" she questioned.

Darren nodded, following after Lauren. "Yeah, I'm good. Didn't feel thirsty today." he shrugged, looking at his watch. "Better get going if we want any..decent sleep." he said, staring at her neck and then looking away.

"Alrighty" she said, heading towards the door. when she got outside, she turned to him. "Want me to drop you off anywhere?" she questioned. She wouldn't mind. She wasn't exactly drunk, so she could navigate home well enough, even drive well enough if she concentrated.

Darren nodded, telling her an address. He had an apartment, a loft actually. It was decently furnished and didn't look too bad. He sighed as they got into her car, actually feeling tired. It was close to sunrise. "So, you're not too drunk to drive home, right?" he asked, making sure.

"No, I'll be fine" she said, as she drove him to his loft. When she got him there, she figured it looked alright. "Okay, here we go" she said, not thinking about the fact she was quite tired. She pulled up in front of his place and put the car in park.

"Thanks. Be careful." Darren said as he got out of the car, going inside and instead of walking to the window, he moved silently within a second to it. Staring down at the car, he hissed quietly. He didn't need a blood from a human, but being that close to one in such an enclosed space was like torture. Sweet torture.

"No problem" she replied, then watched him for a moment as he left the car. She pulled out of the place quietly and turned the music up when she had gotten about a block away. She was tired, and figured now was a great time to go home.

Darren sighed, going to his freezer and getting out a bag of blood. Nipping one end, he began to drink. Truly he was fine with his lifestyle, so far. Still, he liked a challenge every so years. So, the night to come would be the first of many tests he'd put her through.
