Bloody nights~ Moonangel

Lauren coudn't help but to give him a funny look. "What made you think I thought you were a monster? I never said that. I just didn't quite know what you were. I don't think you're a monster, I just don't think you're quite human either" she said with a smile. She tried to steer her thoughts away from how she wouldn't mind being more than just the employer and employee, since she knew he could read her thoughts, and instead thought about if it were a ful moon out tonight or not.

Darrin grinned. "Ah, ok, I guess that's a step. So, what's up for tonight?" he asked, smiling. He was ready to 'work' and earn his pay. He was hungry too!

She rose an eyebrow. "What, have you already forgotten?" she sighed and stood up. Might as well help hom anyhow. "We need to finish from yesterday. You know. throwing out old blood. And while you start doing that, I guess I'll clean up the mess you made yesterday. I just hope it didn't stain the floor too terribly bad" she said, and then walked off to find a mop, partially muttering to herself. Even so, she couldn't help but to smile.

Darrin chuckled. He almost had forgotten. What, with all the commotion. He sighed, nodding. "Ok, take care of my 'mess' and I'll take care of changing the bags." he said, smiling and walking normally to the freezer and starting to sort things out.

Luaren found a mop and found the mess. After throwing away the open bags, she mopped up the mess as well as she could. She used bleach to get up any stains that were left. She dumped the red tinged mopwater out and went to go find Darrin, to maybe help him out.

Darrin however was already done and drinking one of the bags greedily. As she walked in, he looked at her and threw away the bag as he licked his lips quickly. "Ahem, yes, boss?"

She tried not to laugh. She didn't know why she'd find it funny, but it seemed like a funny thing to walk in on, someoone drinking blood. "Just came to see if you'd need any help" she said with a raised eyebrow. It looked as if he were already finished with the rest of the sorting and such.

Well, if it weren't so twisted, then it'd look like he was just drinking cool-aid...really, really dark cool-aid. "Eh, I'm fine. Done, actually. You need any help?" he asked, smiling as he got up and stretched. He always felt stiff after sitting down for too long.

"I'm done cleaning up the mess, but you could help me with some paper work" she said with a shrug. That's what she normally did anyhow, leaving the bigger chunk of work to the employees of the daytime. They only had about an hour or so amount of paperwork, and then they'd be done for the night, she figured.

Darrin stood, nodding. "Alright, paperwork it is." he sighed, shaking his head and leaving the room to head to the counter where there was a medium stack of papers. "Oh god..." he mumbled, shaking his head again. How could there be so much for just a pack of blood!?

Lauren smiled and walked over. "Looks like a whole lot of fun, huh?" she said, and then divided the stack in half. She handed one half to him, and kept the other half. "The papers explain themselves" she said with a shrug. She pulled another chair over near her rolling chair got out an extra pen, and set it down for him to use. She then sat down and started on her own papers.

"Oh yes, lots." Darrin rolled his eyes, taking a pen and sitting down in her usual chair behind the desk as he started writing. Obviously he took his time. Sometimes he wrote too fast and well, paper didn't turn out so well. "I'm guessing you wouldn't want to go out with me again..right?"

"Well, I don't think I'd mind going out with you again" she admitted. "As long you don't have anymore shocking secrets to share just yet." She finished one of the papers and moved on to the next as she talked, thinking about how it would seem to go out with im now, knowing that he was so different than the normal people she knew. Even so, it would make things more interesting.

Darrin smiled, winking. "No more secrets. Well, you pretty much know what I am, that sums it all up pretty much." he replied, chuckling as he continued with his papers. He was getting half-way through, which was good. But his patience was running out. "Where would you like to go?" he asked.

She was getting to be about two thirds done. "Hmm. I'm not sure" she said honestly. She'd never been very good at deicding things like this. "Surprise me" she said after a moment. She really didn't care where they went, as long as it was out of this place.

Darrin nodded, deciding to go instead to a cafe, one that played nice jazz music. He sort of wanted something smooth and not so hurried like a club. At least for all that she went through. "Then come on." he smirked, grabbing her hand and pulling her along to the outside to get into his car.

Lauren smiled and followed as well as she could to his car. She was glad to be getting out again, and maybe she wouldn't mind being out with this guy in particular. At least she knew enough of his secrets to feel relatively normal around him.

Opening the door for her and getting inside himself with the help of his speed, Darrin turned on the car. With the engine purring, he looked over and motioned with his eyes to put on her seatbelt. It wasn't going to be a slow ride, definitely. Getting out of the parking lot, he took off onto the street and made a sharp turn. The blues cafe was pretty nice, cozy, an ideal place to take someone out and just relax. She had enough to deal with, especially having a vampire employee. "You scared around me?" he asked on the way.

She looked over at him when he asked. Was she scared of him? She thought about that for a moment. "No. I don't think so. I think I'm more irritated with the fact that you could hurt me if you wanted, and I couldn't do anything about it unless I just wanted to flat out kill you. Which of course I imagine would also be hard. Not that I'd try." she said with a smile.

"Hard? Why would it be hard?" Darrin asked as he parked and looked at her for an answer. It's not like he was anything special to her. He smiled, chuckling. "You really are brave, but I don't know if it's foolish bravery or not.." he mumbled, shaking his head.

"I just figure because vampires are suspossed to be strong, right? And fast? And I don't have much of a motive in killing you except if you try to eat me. And also because I freeze up when danger is around. I think about it too much, and end up not having much time to act...." she responded. Seh removed her seatbelt and glanced over at him. She wouldn't add in the fact that she didn't want a dead body on her hands, or have it on her concience, or that she kind of liked him and therefore didn't want to have to kill him.

Darrin parked, smiling a little. "Well then, no worries. We don't eat people, we just suck." he grinned, getting out of the car and opening her door within an instant. Such were the perks of being a vampire, speed. The jazz was heard even from outside the cafe, which wasn't bad jazz either. This was a nice hobby for him. "Like Jazz?"

"Yes" she said with a smile. She got out of the car and walked with him toward the building. This was certainly a place she had never been before, so she figured it would be intereting to see how this turned out. Well, she hoped.

"It looks shady on the outside but inside, it's way different. Trust me." Darrin said with a grin as he went inside following after her. As they walked in, they weren't noticed. Already there was someone on the small stage in the corner of the cafe singing something about the blues and with a smooth saxophone playing. "Nice, right?"
