"Yeah, real nice" she said with a smile. It was a nice little place that she might even think about comin back to. "You really know where are the good places are, don't you?"

Darrin chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, that's where I get the classiest of women, not the slutty kind if you catch my meaning....I mean, I'd rather have it easy feeding than one wanting more than that." he shrugged, sitting at the bar and smiling. "Have what you like, I'll pay."

"Thanks" she said with a smile. She almost asked what he would recommend, but then figured he probably didn't eat normal food. "Hmm. How about just a coke for now till I decide what I'd want to eat?"

"Alright, sounds good to me." Darrin said as he paid for a coke and leaned back in his seat, enjoying the blues playing. "I bet you wouldn't have noticed this little place had I not taken you." he grinned, cocky and excited.

"Yeah, I probably never wold have noticed this place" she agreed with a smile. She took a drink of her coke and listened to the music for a moment before saying anything. "So, out of curiousity, how long have you been around? You know, on earth?" she questioned, wondering how old he really was.

"Enough to have probably once met an ancestor of yours. I've traveled all over. I think since the time of Napoleon Bonaparte." Darrin replied, chuckling as he looked over her. "Does it gross you out? You're practically hanging around an old fossil." he mused, laughing a bit.

She couldn't help but to smile at the thought of him being an old fossil. "No, it doesn't really gross me out. I always have hung out with people older than me" she said with a little laugh. "It would probably be gross if you looked your age thoug. That would worry me a tad bit..."

"No, if I were to actually be my age, I would be dust by now. Trust me." Darrin shuddered, not liking the image. He was so old! Once he didn't feed for a few days, it was hurting him beyond comprehension. "Be glad that I was bitten at this age, or else it would be sad trying to be sexy but as an old man." he laughed, shaking his head.

She also laughed, trying to picture him as an old man trying to be sexy. That was a strange picture indeed. She didn't like the idea of him being dust now, since it was hard for her to imagine him being as old as he was really in the first place.

Darrin now noticed the music slowing down, making him smirk a bit. "Want to dance with this old man?" he asked, getting up and holding out his hand for her to take. Surely chivalry isn't thatdead, is it?

"I'd love to" Lauren said with a smile, taking his hand and standing. She wasn't used to getting offers to dance, but she didn't mind. She enjoyed dancing and was sure it would be great to dance with him.

Darrin smiled, pulling her towards him on the dance floor and wrapping her arms around his neck gently. "Let me lead." he smiled confidently as he slow danced with Lauren, his cheek against hers as the jazz started to move from smooth to sexy.

She let him lead as he requested, an oh was he a good dancer. She did in fact enjoy it quite a bit. She hadn't been this close to a male in a while, especially an attractive one, so she could feel her blood rushing a bit at the closeness.

Darrin could feel her adrenaline and the excitement she felt. "Has it been long since you've been with someone?" he asked, kissing her cheek.

"A while" she said with a smile. She didn't get out very often, so it had been at least 9 months since her last boyfriend. She was usually too busy with work and more work, since she tended tobe a bit of a workaholic in some ways. That and mst guys were put off by her because she worked at and owned a blood bank. That wasn't the kind of job most girls had.
