Release

My hands begin to shake
Too much to take in
It's too late
There's nothing left to mend

Black clothes
Stained cheeks
Body still
Eyes blank

Like robots we sit
Wait for the service to begin
Finally the priest prays
We say Amen

The line starts up
The lid is opened
I can't do it
Can't look in

So much love and pain
So many still don't believe
He did it to himself
He got his release

Wait

Here in the night I sit and wait
Even now I am still awake
Awaiting your love
Is it still mine to take?

To happiness and light

Rain
So cold and unfeeling
Rythimic and soothing
Quickly falling
Yet slowly eroding.
The sweet spring rain
The caller of storms
The maker of rainbows.
Rain.
