Carmella laughed. "I think it's only fair." The night before they had pretty much pushed the kids out in under five minutes so that they could get it on. Not that she hadn't enjoyed the spontaneous love making, but they hadn't really explained what their kids had wanted to know. It wasn't long before she heard door sopening and frantic running.

He could hear Damien trying to yell to lizzy that Santa came.

Carmella laughed and urged Darrick out of bed. Giving him one last kiss, she left the room to go and get Clover out of her crib. The little girl was a bit fussy and Carmella had to sit down and feed her before leaving the room. Once she entered the living room she could see that the twins were waiting excitedly on the couch to start opening presents.

Darrick yawned as he walked out of the kitchen in his robe with two cups of tea.

Carmella chuckled seeing the two twins so excited, and took a seat in one of the easy chairs, holding Clover close in her arms. The little girl babbled happy nonsense words to her mother and then proceeded to coo at her older brother and sister whom she adored. Seeing her father, she once again cheered happily and then went right back to babbeling silly made up words.

Darrick chuckled gently as he set Carmella's cup down infront of her.

"Thank you, Dear." Carmella said softly, taking the cup and having a quick sip before setting it down again. Taking in a deep breath, she laughed and allowed Darrick to pick out the first two presents for the twins to open. She knew that they were just shaking with excitement, especially towards the bigger wrapped presents in the back of the tree.

" No problem"he said going over to thier tree and got two presents out. one for damien and one for lizzy.

Of course Darrick was starting out with small gifts to give them, building up to when they would open their bigger presents. Lizzy squealed happily when she was given her present. As she tore at the paper, she was surprised to see the little Peter Pan doll. "oh, my God! Daddy it's so cute!" she cried happily, jumping up and kissing his cheek.

" I'm glad you like him" He smiled.

" Socks... two of 'em" Damien pouted.

Darrick laughed and looked over at Carmella softly.

Carmella laughed softly and carefully placed Clover down in the easy chair before going over to comfort her son. "Look, Damien." she said, carefully placing them on his hands and showing them to him. "Now they're sock puppets." she cooed, kissing the top of his head. "What do you think the sock puppets should be doing? Do they have a story to tell?"

" Santa must've knew you needed socks. You do get yours so dirty" Darrick chuckled as he handed them thier other presents.

(Actually, I got the idea from the sequel to Peter Pan.)
Carmella chuckled and tousled Damien's hair before going back to Clover. Since Clover was, techniqually, only a couple of months old, she and Darrick had decided to open her presnets close to the end, right before they exchanged the presents that they had gotten for one another. Smiling softly, she then watched as the kids recieved two more presents to open.

( Ah you're right)

" Wow! A wooden sword and sheild" Damien said as he unwrapped the rest of his 2nd present/

Lizzy looked thoughtfully at her next present. Her mother had sewn her a beautiful red winter dress that she was quickly growing overly fond of by the moment. Since Carmella and Darrick were still a considerably young couple and did not make much of an income just yet, most of the presents that they gave the children were things that they had made by hand.

Damien was playing with his wooden sword till his dad gave him his next present. It was knitted pants and a cute sweater.

Once all of the twins presents were unwrapped and after Lizzy had spent a good ten minutes swooning over her dollhouse, it was finally time to unwrap Clover's presents. The little girl's presents consisted mostly of dresses and cute stuffed animals. There were a few small things, like a handmade ornament which read "Baby's First Christmas" across the middle.

" You're such a pretty baby" Darrick nuzzled clover.

Clover gurgled happily and kissed the top of her father's head. Despite Carmella's attempts, there was still quite the gap between Charles and the Vlad family. It would stay that way for a while, and sadly it would affect the relationship between Clover and her biological father. Her first memories would be of the ones that she had shared with Darrick as her father, not Charles.

Darrick treated Clover as his own. " Awww " he kissed her little belly and craddled her in his arm. " Carmella do you think we should tell them?"

Carmella raised a brow at this and watched as Lizzy made Peter Pan fly right off the roof of her new dollhouse. "I think... I think that we should let them play with their toys for a little bit before laying too much information on them." As if they would even be paying attention to them right then. "Besides, I jave a present to give you." she added, smiling lovingly at him.

" So do I. Its up in our bedroom. I set it up there while you were with the kids." he said.

"What?" Carmella asked her husband, the note of surprise obvious in her soft voice. Carefully handing him the baby Clover, she got up from her seat on the couch. After excusing herself from the children, she began to scale the stairs so that she could see what it was that her husband had prepared for her in the bedroom. As she opened the doorknob to their bedroom, she took a breath.

In the bedroom there was a wardrobe for her. For her best dresses.
