She closed her eyes as he ran his thumb gently under her eye to brush away the brimming tears. Her cheeks was cradled against his cheek, and a soft sigh passed her lips when he kissed her. I love you. she thought softly, kissing him back. Whatever her past held did not matter for she was with Darrick now. And in her book, that was all that mattered.

Darrick held her close in his arms.

Carmella sighed softly, and gently pressed her nose to his neck, taking in his scent. "Darrick," she whispered softly, pressing her lips to the hollow of his neck. "My Darrick.." she trailed soft, sensous kisses down the column of his neck. The warmth and safety that she felt when she was wrapped in his arms was indescribable.

Darrick groaned softly running his hands over her thighs.

Carmella sat in his lips, gently pressing against him as she bathed in him small, sensual kisses. She blushed softly feeling his hands move underneath the soft, gauzy material of her nightgown, touching her thighs. Soft moans of pleasure passed her lips, and she then pressed her lips to his in a passionate kiss.

Darrick kissed her long and sensiously.

The rest was history. Hours later Carmella lay curled up in Darrick's arms, sighing blissfully. He was the only man that she had ever met who had the ability to be able cut off the gravity and yet still somehow be able to keep her grounded. Looking up into his beautiful blue eyes, she smiled and then nuzzeled his cheek. "I love you." she said softly.

Darrick breathed in heavily as he stroked her hair.

Carmella smiled softly at him, and then closed her eyes. She soon fell asleep to the soft sound of his heart beat- her favorite lullaby in the whole world. A love like the one that they had was hard to find, and Carmella knew that she was trully lucky to have found her soul mate in Darrick. He made her happier than she had ever been in her whole life.

Darrick smiled softly falling asleep.

When the sun arose the next morning, Carmella reluctantly got up from bed. Retreiving her terricloth bathrobe from the closet, she then went to shower. The cold water made her skin tingle, and the coldness clung to her until she had finally dressed in her clothes. As she brushed her hair, she looked over to the bed and smiled seeing Darrick still sound asleep.

Darrick smiled in his sleep.

Yawning softly to herself, Carmella decided to go for a brisk early morning walk before starting breakfast. Donning her fall jacket and a pair of gloves, she then walked out the back door, and went sprinting towards the forest. Despite all things, Carmella did not fear the dark, old forest. There was a sort of allure to her; perhaps the feel of danger.

Darrick rolled out of bed and yawned. He was a sort of sloth in the mornings. He just didn't do much on the weekened mornings. He slowly went to the bathroom and went. He walked out and the kids were already up and playing.

As Carmella jogged through the forest, she thought that she had caught site of an injured wolf. Raising a brow to this, she still could not fight back her inner compassion to go and check if the beast was already. Naively she allowed herself to move closer to the wolf to check it were wounds. It was as she was kneeling down that she began to notice the distinct red color of the wolf's fur.

Charles looked up at her and whimpered softly. He moved his paw and body revieling a little bundle. he looked at her and nudged the bundle to her as he winced in pain.

Carmella looked softly into Charles's eyes, and then gasped seeing the bundle of white linen. A pair of alluring emerald green eyes looked down at her from the bundle, framed by a massive ammount of red hair. She was still as beautiful as Carmella had remember. For a few minutes, it felt as if she were left breathless. Gently scooping the bundle up into her eyes, Carmella allowed herself to look down at the baby girl. "Oh, Charles." she whispered softly, gently leaning over to kiss the old wolf on the muzzle.

Charles looked up gently and winced, " Protect her, Carmella. Please. She is my life as well as yours. I can't keep her out here any longer...its too dangerous. Take her in but don't let her forget who her father is." He closed his eyes as it started to rain.

( da da daaa cue dramatic rain)

"I promise you I won't let her forget, Charles." Carmella said. "Especially since I'm not just going to leave you here." Urging him to phase back into a man, Carmella then leaned him against her body and started to take both her daughter and her ex lover back to her family's home. The once beautiful morning was now muggy and depressing and Carmella wondered if this was a sign that meant that it was going to be a very bad day.

Charles maybe alot of things but what made him special was his heart.

Despite what a person might believe in the beginning, they would soon be able to see that Charles did have a good character. When he acted out as a bad guy it was only because he was lonely and longed for a family. As Carmella carried him into the house and laid him down on the couch, she then went back to attend to the little bundle that she had placed down in one of the twin's old baby seats.

Darrick hissed seeing charles and locked himself in the broom closet. Realizing it was a broom closet he came out andflew into the kitchen and stayed on the stool crouching on it watching Carmella with the bundle.

Carmella carefully unwrapped the little bundle, and looked down at the little girl. Her hand reached out to brush some of her long red hair back into place. It had been so long since the last time she had seen the child. Too long concidering who she was to the little girl. Picking her up, Carmella gently cradled her, doing her best not to break out into tears.

Darrick got off the stool, curious. He looked over her shoulder and blinked. " She has pretty eyes like clovers." he said.
