It's a Love Story

"You're being a hypocrate." she said, turning around to look at him.

"How in the hell am I being a hypocrite," he asked.

"You're saying the exact things my dad said!" she snapped.

((We need to bump this fight up a little bit.))

"Really? Because it didn't seem like he cared for you at all," he retorted. "I'm not saying he's not right for her, I'm saying he's too old until she matures a little."

"I don't think that she can be any more mature." she said. "And my father did care! All up until my mom died!"

Rose heard her parents yelling and peeked out into the hall, towards their bedroom. They never fought, what was going on?

"Fine. But what happens if she gives him everything and he never comes back from Italy," he asked her, frowning. "Never calls or texts or emails. What then?"

"What makes you think he will? You're passing judgment on a boy you don't know!" she snapped. "Just like my father did!"

Jon also heard them fighting as he got out of the shower. He opened the door silently but didn't step out. They never fought. This was bad...

"What makes you think he won't," he snapped. "Stop comparing me to your father, damnit!"

Rose winced. Her dad hardly ever cursed, and never towards her mom... She looked at Jon worriedly.

"It's hard not to compare things when they're the same!" she snapped, getting louder herself.

"If I really am your father, then why'd you marry me," he snapped.

"you know, I don't know right now!" she snapped, not knowing what she was saying. She was angry with him.

"Then allow me to give you some space," he all but growled, grabbing his pillow and walking out of their bedroom, throwing it on the couch in the living room.

"Thanks just what I needed!" she snapped, slamming the door when he left.

((I think that Mike, in his rage, goes and yells at Roman and Pavo, telling her she can't see him and what not...))

Rose winced, hating that her parents were fighting.

Mike stormed outside. "you - go home," he snapped at Pavo. "You- bed. Now," he said, throwing water on the dying fire.

"But Daddy... You said we could stay out here." Roman said, looking up at her dad, confused.

"NOW," he snapped.

Roman jumped and nodded, standing quickly. "Can I walk Pavo to his car?" she asked slowly.

Pavo shook his head. "I'll be fine," he told her, not wanting to anger her father any more. "Goodnight, Roman," he squeezed her hand gently. "I had fun, thank you for inviting me," he smiled and left.

"Goodnight, Pavo. I'll see you at school." she smiled, watching him go.

"Bed," Mike said again, pointing towards the house. He still wasn't happy, but he wasn't bellowing in her face anymore.

"Do you have to be so mean to him?" She asked, ignoring her order. She was upset with him now.

"Roman, go to bed," he said, getting pissed all over again. "I'm not in the mood for this right now."

"So? He was going to ask me out, I know it! God... why are you suddenly such a jerk?" she asked, shaking her head but going towards the house.

Mike ignored the jibe and laid down on the couch without telling anyone goodnight, something he never did.

Roman stopped by Rosie's room, leaning on the door jam. "What's wrong with Daddy? What did I miss?" she asked.
