A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.2

Raini looked up at her. "But... You think Al would be upset..." she asked sadly. She did like Kendal. A lot. Maybe even love him.

"Al would want you to move on. Not to dwell in the sadness of loosing him." She said softly.

Raini thought about it. Al would want their baby to be happy and have everything she needed. She'd need a dad. "Alright," she murmured, nodding. "You're right. Can you help me up so I can go apologize to both Ilane and Kendal," she asked her.

"I'll apologize to Ilane for you. She understands, but I'm not sure about Kendal." She said, standing and then grabbing both of Raini's hands and helping her to her feet.

Raini nodded. "Thank you." She gave her a quick hug, then started off in the direction that Kendal walked off to, following his scent.

Kendal still sat by the river, not really listening to anything in particular, just, sort of wollowing in his nonexistant love life.

She found him sitting by the river. "Kendal..? I'm sorry," she murmured, meaning it. "So sorry... If you could ever find it in your heart to forgive me... I'd be honored if you would be my baby's daddy..."

She smiled and got up, going to hug her but stopped, not knowing how she was feeling. "You would really?" he asked.

She nodded, tears forming in her eyes. "Yes... I'm so sorry," she said again, feeling horrible about how she treated him.

He reached up and wiped her tears away then brought her close in a hug. "It's okay. Really. I understand."

She hugged him, crying into his chest.

He held her, stroking her hair. "It's alright, love." he cooed.

She calmed down and looked up at him. "You'll really be her daddy," she asked in a whisper.

He nodded, looking down lovingly at her. "Yes, I'll really be her daddy."

"Thank you," she whispered, the two words coming from her heart.

He reached down and rubbed her belly. "You're welcome." He said, really wanting to tell her he loved her, but knew he couldn't.

She smiled softly and laid her head on his chest. Maybe she did love him. She wasn't entirely sure yet.

He held her for a little while before pulling away and looking at her softly. "Do you need anything?'

She shook her head. "No, I'm alright now. Thank you," she smiled softly at him.

He kissed her cheek, really close to her lips and then smiled at her. "Alright." He said, really wanting to keep her lips. To feel how soft they were. It almost broke his heart to know that he couldn't. Not for a long long time.

She blushed, realizing she wanted him to kiss her lips, if only for a short second. She bit her lip, looking down at her belly, rubbing it gently. "She's moving," she murmured. It wasn't a lie, but it was also an excuse to hide her pink cheeks from his gaze.

He smiled at her, putting his hands on her belly then smiled more. "She is moving." he said happily.

"Are you happy you have a daddy," she asked her unborn baby softly.

"With the way this pack is run, I'm sure she'll have lots of daddy's." He stated, smiling.

She chuckled softly. "Lots of uncles," she amended, smiling softly.
