A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.2

She averted her gaze from his eyes. She couldn't handle the loving look he gave her, not right now. "Breakfast," she murmured.

He got up and nodded, 'I will be right back.' He said, leaving then coming back in his human form with some meat and water.

"Thank you," she said quietly and started nibbling on the meat.

He nodded, sitting in front of her.

((Sorry... brain dead.))

[It's okay.]

She finished fairly quickly and drank the water, sighing softly once she was done. "You didn't get anything for yourself?"

He shook his head. "I'm not hungry right now." he said softly.

She nodded. "Will you help me put flowers on Al's grave," she asked him quietly. "We've got to pick them first, though."

He nodded, standing up. "Of course." he said, holding his hand out to her.

She took his hand slowly and stood up, walking out to the field to pick flowers. She didn't care if she was holding his hand or not; she'd let him think he was helping her. Actually, she did kind of feel better... In a way.

He held her hand softly, making sure that he kept a sharp eye open for any stragglers from his pack still wanting to destroy this one.

Raini gently pulled her hand away when she saw a flower she thought Al would like, and bent down to pick a few of them, then moved on to look for different flowers.

Brados got up and yawned, stretching, then got up to go find where Sam hald left with Conall.

Sam was sitting under a tree with a plate of meat next to her and Conall in her arms.


Kendal kept his distance, letting Raini do her thing. But he stayed close. He was protective, just like his brother.

Brados smiled and went to them, kissing Sam lovingly and kissing his son's forehead. "I'm sorry I slept in. You could have woken me up," he smiled at his mate.

Raini finished gathering flowers and then headed to where she knew Nick buried his brother.

"You looked peaceful, I didn't want to bother you." She said, smiling at him.

Kendal followed her, still keeping his distance. He knew this was hard for her. She needed to cry and to be left alone, but, also needed to be watched over.

Brados smiled and kissed her lovingly. "I love you."

Raini cried as she laid the flowers on Al's grave.

Sam smiled. "I love you too."


Kendal went over and rubbed Raini's back. "It'll be okay."

He smiled and stroked her hair. "How's our baby boy," he asked, smiling down at Conall.

Raini looked up at him and cried, burying her face into his chest.

She smiled. "he's vocal." he said.

He wrapped his arms around her, holding her close, letting her cry.

He chuckled. "Really?"

Raini clung to him as she cried for her lost mate.

She nodded, smiling. "He's been making lots of noises now that he's awake."


Kendal held onto her, rubbing her back and even softly kissing her head. It took a lot of energy to cry this hard one often needed someone to hold them and that's what he was there for, to hold her and to help her.

"I hope you haven't been too much trouble for your Mommy," Brados chuckled, tickling Conall's belly. Conall laughed and wiggled in his mom's arms.

Eventually, Raini calmed down, though she had the hiccups.

Sam laughed, holding her baby close so that he didn't fall as he wiggled.

Kendal smiled down at her, using one hand to move some hair out of her face and the other to wipe her tears away. "Are you okay now?"

Brados chuckled and kissed his forehead.

Raini sniffled and nodded. "Thank you," she mumbled between hiccups.

She smiled. "I want another one. Another baby."


He nodded, kissing her forehead. "You shouldn't cry so hard. I think your mate would want you to move on, wouldn't he? Not to dwell in the pain you're feeling now."

Just then, Al's ghost showed up from behind a tree, nodding slowly. He agreed with Kendal.

Brados smiled. "So soon? Are you sure," he asked and kissed her softly.

Raini noticed Al behind Kendal and her eyes widened. She bit her lip and nodded sadly. "Yeah," she murmured. "But... I can't help missing him..."
