Raini was walking around again, enjoying the blue sky and the smell of the forest around them.

As Kendal promised, he hadn't left Raini's side. He held her hand, walking and talking with her.

Raini couldn't believe she actually felt... happy. She was missing Al, of course, but she could feel him by her, and that comforted her.

He felt happy with her. He was glad that he could make her smile. "So, Ilane was human before?" he asked, curiously.

Raini nodded. "Yeah. Nick's dad had taken him to the human cities after he and his mom split up for safekeeping. Ilane had taken Nick in as her pet, thinking he was a dog."

He chuckled. "And they fell in love?"

"Nick fell in love with her, and he showed her his true form. I guess she fell in love with him somewhere along the way," she smiled.

He smiled. "That's really sweet."

"It is," Raini agreed with a smile.

"What about my brother and Sam? How did they meet?" he asked.

"Well, Rika and Sam found our pack and joined, and Rika ended up taking over after our old alpha died. Soon after our old alpha died, Brados showed up and they pretty much fell in love just by looking at each other."

"And..." He hesitated, wondering if he should ask this question of not. "What about you and Al?"

"Nick, Ilane, and Al came not long before Sam and Brados got pregnant with Conall," she murmured softly. "Al had been a bit of a womanizer before he saw me. He hadn't known what he was looking for."

I didn't know what I was looking for either. he thought to himself looking at her. "And then what?" he asked.

Raini shrugged. "We just... fell in love," she said quietly, biting her lip. She was going to end up crying again.

so did I... he sighed inwardly. "I'm sorry if I upset you." he said softly, rubbing her knuckles with his thumb.

She shook her head. "No, it's fine," she patted his hand with her free hand.

He smiled, leaning over to kiss her cheek. "Sometimes it's good to talk about things like this. So you don't forget."

She smiled up at him. "You're right. I won't forget," she murmured to herself, promising that to her and to Al.

"I know you wont." he said softly, smiling.

She smiled up at him again. He was sweet, she couldn't deny that.

"So, is it always this peaceful here? In my old pack, there was fighting and raping and pillaging... You know... we were regular werewolf like pirates." He said, jokingly, trying to get her to laugh.


((Werewolf pirates.... that'd make a cool plot. lol))

"Werewolf pirates," she asked with a small smirk, getting the joke. But what he'd said before, about his old pack, disturbed her. It was horrible, she didn't understand how any pack could do that and still be considered a pack.

((Lol. I don't think I'd be able to pull it off.... I'm not that good of a writer and that sort of thing sounds harder than usual. But if it was a real book, I'd read about it. ^___^))


He sighed. "That was suppose to make you laugh." He said, discouraged.
