he smiled, holding her close and panting himself. "I love you too."

Brados heard a nearby howl and tensed, growling. He recognized the howl. "Get back to the den," he told Sam. "Now."

Sam shook her head. "Why? Brados?" she asked, on full alert now.

Brados kissed her lovingly, then gently shoved her back towards the den. "Go, Sam. It's my old pack," he growled the words.

Nick ran out in his wolf form. 'Brados, they don't sound happy,' he said. He'd heard what he'd told Sam.

"Get her back to our den," he told Nick and shifted into his wolf form, howling a warning howl.

Ilane was running after Nick in her human form. She took Sam's hand, helping her to the den. "Brados... no.. promise me you'll come back." Sam begged.

Al heard the howl and was instantly getting up and getting dressed. "Raini, promise me you'll stay here. I don't want you hurt." he said, pullling on his shirt.

Brados licked her cheek. 'I promise. Now go, love. Protect yourself and our baby. I'll be fine,' he promised and nudged her to follow Ilane.

Raini kissed him lovingly, looking at him worriedly. "I can't promise you that," she told him. "But I'll try my best... Please be careful. Come back to me safely," she begged.

Sam nodded then gasped. "Ah!"

"Her water just broke." Ilane said, worried. "Come one, we'll get you comfortable and get Raini's help like planned." she said, walking with Sam back to her den.

Al nodded and kissed her passionatly. "I'll do what I can." He said.

Raini hugged him close and reluctantly let him go, watching him go worriedly, and pulled her clothes on.

Brados looked back at them, wanting badly to be there with her, but needing to protect them. Damnit. 'Hurry,' he begged Ilane and growled when he saw his previous alfpha stalking towards him and Nick.

Ilane and Sam got close to their den and she yelled for Raini. "Raini! Raini I need you!" She yelled as chaos started to ensue.

Al shifted into his wolf form to go stand beside Nick and Brados.

Raini heard her name being yelled by Ilane and ran out, shrieking as she shifted into her wolf form to more quickly run away from the wolves who came after her.

After all this was over, Ilane walked into Raini's den. Raini had seen Al die, he was saving her from being hurt and his neck was hit, he died instantly. They never got to say a good bye and Raini was really torn up. Brados was hurt and so was Nick. People on both sides died but eventually, we won. Sam was still in labor. The attack didn't last more than an hour and Ilane waited another hour to wait to see Raini. She was in Brados' care. The baby wasn't ready to come out yet but it was definitely happening. "Raini? I brought you some food... You okay sweetie?" Ilane asked, rubbing Raini's back softly.

Raini hadn't stopped crying as she clung to Al's body, never raising her head or opening her eyes. She shook her head, new sobs breaking out. "He said he'd never leave," she mumbled between sobs.

Brados held onto Sam's hand, letting her squeeze his as hard as she needed to when the contractions came.

Ilane moved closer to her, setting the food near her. "You'll always have part of him." She said. "That baby is part of him."

The contractions wern't that bad at the moment but Sam still held his hand. She moaned softly, sweat pouring down her face.

Raini cried harder, realizing she had to live for the baby now, and not him, too. She wondered how she was going to raise their baby with no father.

Brados stroked her hair back out of her face and off of her neck, wiping her face with a damp cloth to try and cool her down.

A tear ran down Ilane's cheek as ash looked at Al. She loved him... he was a great guy. "Make sure you eat something." She said softly. "You need your strength." she said then got up, going to Sam's den again. Nick was holding her other hand. She needed him to hold her for a moment.

Raini nodded, trying to get control of herself again.

Nick saw Ilane's expression. "I need my hand back, sis," he murmured softly and went to Ilane, wrapping his arms around her.

Sam moaned as contractions started again and she held onto Brados' hand tightly.

Ilane wrapped her arms around Nick's waist tightly and broke down into his chest.

Brados stroked her hair, trying to soothe her, though he know it wouldn't take away the pain.

Nick kissed the top of her head, holding her close as she cried.

Raini eventually stopped sobbing and looked up at Al's face sadly. She was surprised she still had tears after all the crying she'd been doing.

"Ilane if is isn't to much trouble I think the baby's coming!" sam groaned as her body started to push.

Ilane pulled away from nick and looked at Sam. "i'm sorry." she said, going back to help her.

Nick rushed back to Sam's other side and took her hand again.

Brados had to tighten the muscles in his hand to brace himself for her squeezing as the contractions started getting worse, as her body started to push.

A few hours later, Sam was holding onto her new baby boy. She smiled at Brados. "Wanna hold him?"

Brados was stroking Sam's hair as she leaned against him comfortably, holding their baby boy. He smiled and took the boy very gently in his arms, cradling him carefully. "Little Conall..." he murmured, almost cooed, to the baby. "He's so cute," he smiled and kissed Sam softly. "I love you."

Raini thought she saw something from the corner of her eye and looked towards it, then gasped. "Al...?"

Sam smiled, running her hand over Conall's head. "I love you too." She said to Brados them kissed her son's cheek. "I love you too little baby."

Al's ghost smiled at her then disapeared.

Brados leaned his head against Sam's, smiling down at their baby boy. The baby opened his big brown eyes and blinked twice before smiling and gurgling at them.

Raini felt tears spring to her eyes again. "No, Al... Come back," she begged in a whisper.

Sam smiled. "Hi baby. I'm your momma." she said lovingly.

Ilane walked into Raini's den. "Raini? Who are you talking to?"
