A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.2

She chuckled softly. "I have you to thank for that, don't I," she smiled, kissing his forehead.

He smiled and nodded. "Yes, You do." he said, rather prideful.

She smiled. "She'll be a beautiful baby," she smiled softly, rubbing her stomach. She had no doubt that their baby would be a girl.

He looked up at her. "What if this baby is a boy?" he asked.

"Then I have no doubt he'll be as handsome as his daddy," she kissed him softly.

He smiled, standing up again and wrapping her in his arms. "Nobody's as handsome as I am." he teased.

She chuckled. "Not even our baby," she asked, smiling up at him.

"Well, maybe our baby... Because it's both of us." he smiled, kissing her belly again.

She chuckled softly, running her hand through his hair. "I thought so," she teased.

He wrapped his arms around her butt softly and let her cherish the moment for a little while. Then he sighed and stood up, kissing her lips softly. "I have to go now." he whispered.

She kissed him back softly. "I love you," she whispered and clung to him for a few extra seconds before she let him go.

She was starting to let him go easier, that made him happy, that told him that she was able to start actually loving Kendal. "I love you, too. Always." he said as he vanished.

Kendal went up behind her with her food, smiling a little. "Raini, baby, I got you dear meat, I hope that's okay." he said.

Raini smiled sadly at the spot that he vanished, but smiled when she heard Kenal call her. "Oh, yeah, deer's fine. Thank you," she smiled happily at him.

He smiled, handing her the plate. "Did anything happen while I was gone?"

She smiled, taking the plate and taking a bite. "Nope," she grinned at him and swallowed.

He smiled and sat down, pulling her into his lap and wrapping his arms around her belly. "Do you need anything else?" he asked.

She relaxed as she ate, leaning back against him comfortably. "I am a little tired, but that can wait until later."

"It'll be dark soon. You could just go to bed early." he said softly. He was still sleeping outside her den. He hoped that one of these days she would invite him inside, but until then, he was fine outside. At least he was near her.

She smiled. "Alright, I will." She'd actually thought of letting him sleep in her den, though she'd feel horrible about making him sleep on the floor. She still wasn't entirely comfortable with sharing a bed with anyone.

He wouldn't sleep with her unless she needed it or unless she invited him. He'd move his bed into the den. He liked holding her and was glad that she let him take her into his lap like he did and to also rub her belly. He liked feeling the baby move.

Raini finished her dinner and relaxed for a few minutes, not noticing her eyelids drooping until she jumped awake, hearing the bluejays fighting in a nearby tree. "Goodness... maybe I should go to bed now," she yawned.

"Do you want to stay here for a little while? I'll carry you back." he offered, turning his head slightly to look at her.

She thought a minute. "Let's go ahead and go back now. I don't think anyone can sleep through those silly blue jays. Can you help me up," she asked.

He smiled and nodded, simply standing up, keeping her cradled in his arms. "Want me to carry you or do you want to walk?"

"I can walk for now. Thank you," she smiled at him and began the walk towards her den.
