Finally a home~ Private

"We both were young and stupid. But, still, we both changed also over the last three to four years. You sure I'm still the same?" he asked, staring back at Marley. Once she showed him her left hand, he lost the small pout. "Well, my ring is on this chain, right next to my heart. Never took it off." Joshua added, sighing and holding onto the ring as he closed his eyes. "I....I missed you too.." he said, sighing.

"So want are we going to do about this?" She asked, her hands ccrossed under her breasts. "We're both obviously hung up on the other but I don't know if I'll be able to stay with you again..."

"Then stay at my parents for now. Get your new apartment but, we can always hang out. Like, right now. You can get dressed and we can go to the park or something." Joshua said, trying to make amends.

She nodded. "Alright. I guess we could do that." She said. "Promise you wont leave?"

"I won't. Now go and change, sheesh." Joshua muttered, looking away as he started to get Max out of the car and putting on his leash.

She smiled and nodded, jogging inside. She went up to her room, grabbing the clothes she wore yesterday. She really didn't have much else.

Joshua yawned, waiting on Marley and seeing her come out. "You don't have any other clothes?" he asked, looking over her.

She looked down at herself and sighed. "No... Not really." she said softly.

"We should go out and get you clothes, too. Or, rather you and my mom." Joshua shrugged, handing over the leash to Marley. "So, let's get on with the walk then." he smiled, crossing his arms.

She nodded, taking the leash. "I don't have any money." she said softly. "I can't get any new clothes for a little while."

As the months passed, Marley did get the job at Disney. She had even been able to get her own loft which was so much better than Joshua's little tiny apartment. He decided to hand Max over, seeing as she was obviously the better owner for him. But before they knew it, it was the day of their anniversary. Joshua stared at his cellphone, wondering if he really should do it. He sighed, dialing Marley's number. "....Hey, uh...mind coming over to my place tonight? It's a surprise." he said, smiling.

Marley was setting up her isles for her art when she got Joshua's call. "Your house? I guess... for dinner?" She knew that it was their anniversary, but didn't really know what to do about it.

"Yeah, for dinner. Eh, just felt like being nice and uh, friendly." Joshua said as he tinkered with his wedding ring that still hung from the chain around his neck. "So, 8 o' clock tonight, ok? Wear something uh, nice." he said, smiling as he hung up. He then began on dinner along with candle lights and roses leading to the small table.

Marley smiled, hanging up the phone also. Oh, she had something nice. Elizabeth had hung onto the pink dress she wore on their anniversary so long ago. It fit her better now that she could fill it out better.

As the time came, he had set up dinner: roast chicken with potatoe slices and mashed potatoes. There were two red candles in the middle with the scent of roses. The table itself had a red tablecloth with intricate designs. He sighed, making sure the rose petals were in place and then waited by the door to open it and hide in the bedroom that was far from the door.

Marley went to the door and smoothed her dress before knocking on the door. She had left Max at home. He had a bed he was sleeping in and she gave him a very kissey good bye before she left for Joshua's.

Joshua chuckled, opening the door after turning out the lights to a dim hue. He had hidden in his room, waiting to see Marley follow the petals to the table. He chuckled again as she realized the romantic dinner and came from behind, hugging her around the waist. "You like it?"

She smiled, leaning against him with her hands on his, holding him there. "It's wonderful. I almost forgot how romantic you were." she said softly.

"Romance hasn't died yet....So, I hope you like roast chicken." Joshua chuckled, kissing Marley's cheek. This seemed just perfect. Now it all depended on whether she would accept his offer after the meal. Pulling out a chair for her, he sat after. "Enjoy." he smiled, starting to cut into the chicken and getting his share.

She took what she wanted and smiled over at him. "Is this because you actually remembered what day it was?" She asked, taking a bite.

"Of course. Why would I forget?" Joshua said as he took a bite and this time eating with patience. He hadn't stuffed his face since probably the day Marley moved out. So, he had practice pretty much. "Does it top off your anniversary dinner?" he grinned.

"Depends." she shrugged, drinking some of the wine he had out. "Do you have a diploma and an acceptance letter?" she chuckled.

"Yeah, way better..." Joshua said, smirking. "But you have to wait til after dinner." he said as he ate the rest of his food, chuckling as he did so. Marley knew nothing of his surprise.

"You gonna give me sex too?" She asked, teasing. They had come to terms about him not having sex with her and her going to some other guy for it. she'd apologized and they were okay. Right now, even though they were technically married, they were in the dating stage they never got to.

"You never know. I might just drink enough wine for that." Joshua said, chuckling and winking. He was also forgiven for his stupid escapade earlier on, but he also knew why Marley had done what she did. He didn't provide, but they both understood each other now. At the moment, it seemed they were only dating and not really married. Something they had skipped all together. Finishing, he took a deep breath silently and looked at her. "I have a question to ask of you..."
