Alex laughed with her. "Yeah, I guess you're right," she agreed. She got there within fifteen minutes and got a decent parking space. "Alright, where to?"

[you know what I just realized? concerts usually take place at night and it's morning XD oh, well.]

(I think I'm going to take control of Russel for most of the concert. Maybe a few bits with Jen.)
Russel breathed in deeply once he heard his managed tell him and the band that they would be on in five minutes. They would first be opening with one of their more classic rock songs, but then would be closing with his newest song. He grit his teeth and then sighed. A power ballad. Honestly. Who would have guessed that he would have ever allowed for them to close on a power ballad?

Shaking his head, he went to retrieve his guitar, and gently slid it over his shoulder. It was now or never. Hopefully she would be there and he would see her after the concert. Then he could get whatever it was out of his system and got on with life as life lusting man that he knew he was.

Alex sat in her seat, not really listening to the music; just as she'd done last time. She clapped politely at the end of every song, being brought back to the time and place at the end of every song; she mainly stared off into space.

As the concert reached it's climax, Russel seemed to grow even more tense. Soon they lights dimmed down considerably, and Russel gently placed down his guitar, and went down to a piano that had been brought on stage earlier. "I believe you are all familiar with this song." he murmured gently into the mike, and then started to sing Bed of Roses.

As the music slowed to a song she knew, Alex hummed along, bored. She figured this would be the last song of the concert. Again, she found herself wondering who the song was about, and why she cared.

He hated the feeling that he got whenever he sang this song. Russel couldn't even begin to explain it. He had written this song while suffering from a hangover. In his mind he knew that he had written it for her, but he couldn't understand why. He had seen plenty of pretty faces before. Why was she any different?

Alex, noticing the time and knowing the time the concert was supposed to end, stood and waited patiently for the song to end. It wasn't really that bad of a song, once she got passed who was singing it. She preferred softer songs anyway.

There was the usual hooting from the woman and teenage girls, and some sprinkeled in "I love you, Russel!"s, but aside from that things were changed. No more girls flashing him or throwing their panties at him. It was almost an entirely different crowd of fans. Russel sighed. He missed his old life. Once the song had ended, he bowed to the audience and then bid them a good night.

He felt like a sell out.

Alex turned to Jess. "Are we still going backstage," she asked her, wondering if she just got the backstage passes since they were cheaper or if she actually wanted to see Russel again.

Jess laughed. "Of course, Silly!" What would be the point of buying backstage passes if she hadn't intended on using them? Besides, Russel wasn't the only guy in the band. There would be more than just him to talk to.

"Alrighty, let's go," Alex said, trying to ignore the shoving of Russel's fans, both old and new. grumbling, she rolled her eyes as the older women started screaming at the younger girls as they tried to cut in line. "Dear god," she muttered to Jenny.

Jenny found it amusing to see all of the insane Russel fans, some looking old enough to be his mother. Talk about cradle robbers. Brushing her hair from her eyes, she scanned the area backstage. There were a few other band members with not nearly as much crazy fans as Russel. Such as the cute drummer, as well as the sexy key board player.

Alex stayed against the wall, out of the way of the crazy fans. She rolled her eyes as the ladies, even some guys, screamed at the sight of the band members. "Please," she muttered, shaking her head and sighing.

Jenny nidged her thoughtfully. "Come on, don't be such a party pooper. I know that if we were at one of those country concerts you would at least be excited." Alex was always so cool and reserved. Jenny couldn't really say if she had ever seen Alex let herself go and just have some fun.

Alex looked at her. "Well, yeah. But all this squealing and screaming is giving me a headache. I forgot my Tylenol," she shrugged. "You just go do what you were gonna do. I'll wait here. No biggie," she smiled.

Jenny shrugged her shoulders. "If you say so." she said, and then went to go and talk to the drummer of the band. She knew that there was no point in trying to get Alex to like Chasing Oblivion. She might as well enjoy herself.

Meanwhile, Russel was trying to fight off all of his fangirls. And look for one girl in particular. It was dumb of him to think this would work. Now he was too busy hording off fangrils to even find her.

Alex pulled out her book and started reading, blocking out all of the voices as she leaned against the wall, becoming absorbed in her book as the fangirls squealed and screamed for their "future husband".

"Ladies, Ladies, please..." Russel cried out, "Calm down. There's enough of me for all of you." Since when had there been such little order? He felt blessed that none of them were ripping at his clothes are trying to get a lock of hair. "Now, if you could all calm down and get into an orderly line..."

Alex read on as the ladies quieted only a fraction; the ladies reluctantly formed a loose line. Alex chuckled at the humor of her book, turning the page and chuckling some more.

Russel looked up at the sound of someone chuckeling. Was someone laughing at him? He scoped all of the women in line, and then moved passed them, ignoring their weak little pleads for him to come back. "Who here is laughing?" he finally asked aloud, only to stop when he found their culprit. It was her.

Russel ran a hand through his hair, and then shook his head. "You're that girl." Perhaps that one girl in his whole entire life who hadn't wanted him. "Where's your friend?" he managed to ask, continuing to ignore all of the protesting girls in line. Here she was. And nothing was changing. These weird, wimpy little boy feelings. He really, totally hated them.
