A Werewolf's Heart Part 1.1

"She is," Nick agreed, smiling softly at Ilane.

Ilane smiled softly. "Thank you guys."

Al smiled. "You're welcome."

Nick smiled and ate heartily, happily.

After they ate, a bit of a celebration party ensued. They had a huge bon fire going and people were dancing around it and laughing. Ilane stayed out of the way, laughing as Al made a fool of himself with the single girls.

Nick stayed by Ilane, laughing at his older brother with the single ladies.

Ilane smiled at Nick. "Do you remember anybody but your brothers?" She asked.

"Not..really," Nick answered sheepishly, though honestly.

"That's not too surprising," Ed smiled, ruffling Nick's hair. "You were just a pup, after all."

Ilane smiled. "Well, now you're back. You can make new memories."

Nick nodded, smiling. "Yes, that's right."

she smiled and put her head in his lap, laying on her back so she could look up at him. "I think I'll like it here. I'll like being part of a family this big."

He smiled. "You won't ever have to worry about feeling alone, that's for sure," he chuckled.

She smiled. "I think the problem will be being alone."

"You won't be alone," Nick told her, putting his hand on hers. "I'll stay with you."

"But when will we be alone?" She asked.

"I don't know," Nick answered, confused now. Did she mean that she wanted to be alone with him?

She chuckled. "We'll figure it out."

He looked at her curiously, still holding onto her hand.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" she asked.

"I missed something... were you implying that you want to be alone with me," he asked, tilting his head.

"Not now... But later... in the future." she said.

"Oh. Alright," Nick nodded, blushing.

"I'm just saying that maybe we'd want to be alone without people always listening or watching us." She shrugged.

Nick nodded. "I'd like that," he smiled softly.

She smiled then yawned. "I'm tired..."

He smiled softly. "Rest a while. It was a long walk."
