My Past Will Not Haunt Me ~Private~

" I can't help that. I'm just... excited" he admitted, " Though... I think its obvious v.v I'm soooo bad at acting coy. " he shook hishead.

Meghan chuckled and happily threw her arms around him, embracing him. "You're so cute!" she cooed, looking at him happy with a smile that would later be meant only for him. She was a bit flustered being close to him, though she still lingered a bit before letting go of him.

When she flung her arms around him his face lit up like a christmas tree. "c-cute?" he blushed.

"Yes, cute." she said, smiling. "You've always been so incredibly cute." Of course even now when he was going through his awkward stage she still really liked him. He was gangly and still hadn't really grown into the body of a man just yet, but she still found him cute behind his awkward smile and stuttering.

He would fill into his body pretty soon he would grow like a weed. He was just gaining height eventually everything would fill out nicely and he would not be so nerdy looking down the road. " I'm not cute.... " he said softly.

She smiled and looked at him with soft eyes. "Well I think you are." she said softly, gently laying down and resting her head in his lap. Meghan knew that he was still going through his awkward stage, but she wasn't just saying that to cheer him up. Looking at him, Meghan really did like him and found him to be cute and sweet. "You know, I had my awkward stage too. Sometimes it's like I'm still going through it."

He sighed " I look really akward too. I still look like a kid.... maybe this is how Justin Bieber feels but at least my voice is deeping faster then his." he said.

"So what if you look a little young? You're only fourteen!" She shook her head and then laughed, nuzzling his belly affectionately. "It's just so funny that boys can be just as self conscious as girls. People complain too much about us being different when really we're in really different in one way." she commented.

He nodded his head. He gently stroked her hair and smiled at how soft it was. " I better enjoy my youth while I still have it." Right now was perfect. He couldn't have wanted anything more than this moment right here.

She smiled as she felt him stroking her hair and breathed in softly. Closing her eyes she allowed herself to enjoy this moment with him before it would be time for them to both go back to their own homes. She knew that her mother was watching them from the kitchen window, but she ignored it and focused on him.

He smiled softly. He didn't notice her mother was watching. He too focused on her right now. He didn't want to go home but he knew he had to part with her for the night.

She opened her eyes and looked up at him, her heart fluttering a bit in her chest. Leaning up, she gently kissed his cheek and then looked away, blushing a bit. "Thanks for spending some time with me," she said quietly, though she knew that he had been happy to do it. Smiling softly at him she then got up from the porch swing and offered to walk him home, even though they could see his front door right from where they were standing.

" Thank you for the nice evening" Sam smiled

Even when it was time to let him go home she held his hands for a little longer, looked into his eyes just a little deeper. Smiling she hugged him one last time before walking back to her own house. The rest of the day was a blur and eventually she found herself in bed, just thinking about him and their upcoming date.

Sam was true to his thoughts. He was in the shower getting all excited and yelling and what not. He got into his closet and found nice shirts he never wore. price tags still on them. He found jeans that were the same way. He flopped into bed and smiled brightly.

The rest of the week went by (though to Meghan the days seemed to inch on by at tortoise speed) and soon enough the day of their first date came. Of course Meghan had no idea what to wear. Did she want to be casual or did she want to be girly and cute? What did Sam want? What did he expect? She whined softly to herself as she tried to choose between a faded pair of jeans with a hole on the knee which gave her sexy curves or a short blue skirt to show off her legs.

Sam had spent all week on his hygiene. He had been using every zit formulated product on his face and the results showed. He was smooth faced. No crater or volcano. He looked at himself in the mirror and smiled.

Meghan ended up deciding on the jeans because while she would have liked to have some - let's be blunt- sex appeal, it was still a bit breezy out, way to breezy for short skirts and gauzy tops. After pulling on the soft, worn jeans she matched it with a pretty top with a seventies kind of flow to it. A bit retro chic but not too out of her way poser like most people liked to wear at her school.

He decided on some nice faded blue jeans and a polo. he tucked in the front part of his polo so he was showing off a bit of his lean waist.

In the end after applying make up and doing her hair Meghan's mother deemed that she was "a dream" and left Meghan to wait for Sam. Meghan nervously fiddled with her shirt, straightening herself up and trying to calm down. Why was she getting so nervous about seeing him? They had been neighbors almost longer than she could remember.

Sam walked outside onto his porch. Now he was feeling nervous.

The time seemed to be ticking away rather obnoxiously as she waited for him to walk to the front porch and ring the doorbell. Breathing in shakily she stared down at her watch, watching as the hands moved on so slowly that it nearly had her cursing at one point.

He made it to her porch and rung the door bell. He gulped and hoped he looked presentable.

And here they were, at ground zero. Taking in a breath she got up from the couch and answered the door. "Hey," she said, her face a bit flushed. "Hey?" Is that really all that she could think of? To think that she went from spelling bee champion to "hey" within thirty seconds. "Y-you look great..." she whispered, brushing some of her hair from her eyes.

Sam blushed, " you too........ I mean you look great too" he said gently. He was equally flustered.
