" Danny, and I thought I had a long time ago." he said shrugging his shoulders. " young and stupid is annomonus in those days."

" Never experianced love making. The person whom I thought I was in love with well I realize that was just sex." he shrugged. " So I suppose I'm still looking for someone to share that with. If I ever find one" he said

" Am I right in saying you have never slept with a man" he said.

Danny chuckled gently, " hey its a good thing. Means your faithful or just really good at picking out the best" he chuckled smiling.

The waitress came by and he payed her. " Well lets get you home." he said.

Danny haled a taxi and that was that.


Danny went to the meeting with her on his mind.

" Dan you got it?" Luis said looking at him.

" huh right.....Getting a shipment in New York." he nodded. " Right."

" Whats the matter? Some gal on your mind?" Luis said. Luis was his best friend.

" You can say that. Won't make much of a matter. She's engaged." he shook his head.

" Look if its some gal that's uptown, forget about her." He said, " This isn't the sort of life for those gals. They expect thier men to be pure and rich."

" Hallelujah" he muttered gently.



Danny walked into his apartment and walked across the floor and gently ran his finger on the table that had his phone on it right by the mirror hanging infront of him. He looked up at his reflection and hung his hat up and sighed looking away and walked on past his living room. He looked into his bedroom seeing his messed up bed. Danny sighed once more undressing into nothing more then under shorts and a white beater. He walked to the window and looked out hearing car horns and crickets sounding into the night. Danny sighed as he walked back into the living room and poured himself some scotch and sat down on the couch and sipped it watching the shadows on his wall.

Danny sighed, no matter how much he thought about her he knew that wouldn't change anything. He had to move on.

Danny bursted through his doors breathing heavily. He was holding his arm. When his phone rang he grunted, " Fuck." he scrambled to the phone and picked it up, " Its Dan talk to me" he said flinching. He had gotten into a gunfire fight with a neighbooring gang. That stupid cargo ( holding about 500 bottles of German Draft, illegally imported) was on the hit list tonight. But Danny had killed that fucking bastard who shot him, right inbtween his two blue eyes, fuckin russian. This was one of his best shirts too for fucking out loud.

" Well you can come over if you don't mind a little blood. I won't lie to you, I'e been shot" he said gritting his teeth. He wanted to see her but he also needed some help.

" Come in" Danny said from his chair. He had his bloody shirt off and on the floor. He was trying to dig out the bullet. "Wish we could meet under a better circumstance" he smiled sheepishly.

" Its a long story" he said softly. " Just say I was in a cross fire." he said gently.

" Maybe its best you forget about me.....I'm not the sort of man to be getting mixed up with. You're an uptown girl...and well.....I'm not someone you would like very much, Jenny" he looked away from her.
