Jacey sighed at the thought of eventually having to take maternity leave once the baby was born. She wasn't sure if their bills would take it. Already she was working two jobs and it didn't seem like much to have a nursery started or to buy clothes and food for the baby. What would happen once she would need to quit her other jobs? Sighing softly, she closed her eyes and laid back in the chair.

Jacey nodded her head thougthfully. "Do what makes you comfortable, Marcus." In the end she knew that he was going through a lot more than what she was going through. She was carrying a baby, that was a natural part of a woman's life. It wasn't too often that a person realized that they were, quite literally, an animal. "I don't mind having to get a third job to keep us afloat." she offered him a kind smile to calm him.

Jacey was quiet for a long period of time before speaking again. "Please just promise me that you won't push yourself, ok? There's no shame in not being the bread winner in the family." Jacey murmured, brushing her hair from her eyes. Why was it that men felt compelled to be the head of the household? Even if she was pregnant, it didn't mean that she couldn't hold her own.

It was the man's job to previde for his family. They felt it thier responsibility to make thier wife's and children's life comfortable and not have to worry about money. Maybe he was old fashioned in that sense but he wanted her to feel content and happy.

Jacey looked softly into Marcus's eyes and then took his hand. Pressing her lips to his she smiled and then began to walk with him up the stairs to the bedroom. It had been a very hectic day for the both of them. If he insisted on taking care of her and the baby, then right then what she cared about was taking care of him. Walking into the bedroom, she closed the door and looked shyly into his eyes.

While one couple was resolving it's differences, another couple was just realizing it's romantic potential. Clover had known Kevin for the past two years and had grown to love him more than she had ever loved someone who was not in her immediate family. They were more then friends, though they were not mates. The people of their pack found this curious, especially concidering the fact that it was not an open relationship. Clover did not know how to answer their questions. All she knew for sure right then was that in a week or so the mating season would begin. And then more questions surrounded her.

Kevin was in love with Clover. And he was being surrounded by the same questions as well. He could feel mating season comming. His body was preparing for it. He was more lean in the waist and other signs of trying to attract her.

Clover really was not sure of what she was supposed to do. Obviously she was not repulsed at the idea of mating with Kevin- she loved him! This did not change the fact that she was worried about what would come out of their mating. She didn't want the first time that they were together to be out of carnal desire and lust. She wanted it to be out of love. The possibility of leaving the pack and going in hiding crossed her mind several times.

Kevin wanted it to be out of love as well. He didn't like the pressure the pack put on him or her. He was just a shy guy.

At leats Clover could relax with the fact that no one would try to steal Kevin from her. As far as anyone in the pack was concerned, Clover and Kevin respectively were both off limits. Even if they had not mated just yet, it was obvious that they would eventually become mates. Any new members of the pack who did not know this would be quickly (and sometimes roughly) informed.

A soft sigh passed from Clover's lips as she looked over at herself in the mirror. She seemed a lot different from the defiant fifteen year old who had first been introduced to Kevin oh so long ago. Her lips were full and pink and her body was to die for. Not to mention her tantalizing fiery locks were yet another thing to attract a mate. Also known as Kevin.

Kevin was very watchful of her features during this time period. He clutched his toes and bit his lip. He was having a hard time holding back his deep desires that made him a wolf. He wanted the desire that made him a man to impress her though the masculine attraction helped.

A gentle sigh passed from Clover's lips and she looked up thoughtfully at Kevin. For the past hour or so they had been playing an innocent game of Scrabble, the both of them trying to ignore the fact that soon it would be close to impossible to resist one another sexually. Looking over at her letter chips, she picked out one card and placed it on the board. Y-E-A-R-N-I-N-G.

Clover looked over at this thoughtfully, though she dared not to meet Kevin's gaze for she was unsure of what she would see if she did. Looking over at her letter chips, she sighed and added on words to the 'D' in nude. D-E-S-I-R-E. What in the world was wrong with them? They had played Scrabble before! This had never happened before! It was bothering her quite a bit.

Taking in a breath, she sighed and shook her head. What could she do? They were playing a dangerous game right then and it was still two weeks to mating season. Clover's body was going through it's own metamorphosis as it became more physically appealing in the hopes to attract a mate. Her body had been ready to mate for the past two years and could not stand the thought of having to wait another year. Especially when it had already chosen it's mate.
