Heather smiled, crossing her legs at the knees as she turned to face him. "It makes it a hell-of-a-lot easier don't ya think? I mean, to me it seems smarter... But I could be horridly mistaken you know? But I would like to have a relationship with you..." Her smile became far more gentle, far more relaxed and simple.

Drake chuckled, nodding. "You honestly surprise me....Most women would just want a straight up, well, benefits only relationship with a vampire. Blame the movies for making us seem like gods in bed." he said, snickering. Some women just were silly. "So, would you rather I just take you to bed or let you sleep here?" he asked, knowing he'd have to go sooner or later. He'd prefer soon.

"I'm chalk-full of surprises..." Heather chuckled. "I'll get to bed on my own. Got alot of stuff to still take care off. Hell, it's 10 on the west coast now right?" She bit her lip and nodded. "I'm gonna be talking with some business affiliates soon, so I won't be asleep for a few hours. You can go if you like.

"So, what do you do? Now that you've revealed only a smidge." Drake asked out of curiosity. Now that apparently they would try to make a relationship out of this odd bond of theirs and not by choice, he might as well know her history. Some of it anyway. He didn't have much time before sunrise.

"Music, and that's all of it. I write music, produce it, and get lucky enough to be able to sell it to more famous music artists for a healthy sum of royalties. If you were wondering, my business partner at the moment in the west coast is the lovely Mariah Carey. She's finishing some studio work right now, but I'm always in her good graces." She smiled, standing. "And I have a decent sized garden. but that's something you much wouldn't be able to see it's true beauty... Not exactly a light walker, huh?"

Drake chuckled, nodding. "Take a picture, it lasts longer." he grinned, laughing at his own joke. "So, you must be a genius then. Cause, Mariah Carey..wow." he said, smiling. "Anyway..wanna get together again sometime?" he asked, winking. Might as well get to know her even more.

Heather chuckled, nodding. "I guess you could say that the music just flows from me." She yawned and stretched, looking at the clock on the wall in the kitchen. "I figure I can see my myseterious mate again. Tell me when and where and I'll see what I can do...."

Drake smiled, nodding. "How about that bar again? We can meet up there and I'll take you to a nice restaurant..how's that?" he asked, grinning. He knew that a girl like her must like fancy things, at least once in a while. Right? "Also, are you really so inclined as for me to be your mate?" he asked, kind of taken aback.

Heather smirked. "You have no idea how nice that sounds... Though, don't be afraid to see me wild... I can get down and dirty with the rest of my inbred brethren in the south." She laughed, taking his hand as she walked towards the kitchen. "And it's not that I'm inclined to be your mate, it's that I truly have no control over it. Might as well accept what you can't change..."

Drake followed as she took his hand. He could tell that the power she was given suited her. She wasn't easy to tame, or won't be ever. "You make it sound like a prison sentence.." he mumbled, rolling his eyes and smiling. Really, at least she wouldn't have to worry about feeding and staying out of the sun. That was a plus for being human. "Anyways, I'll get going. Stay safe." he said, kissing her head and leaving the apartment.

She blushed a bit when he pressed his lips to her forehead, waving to him as he left. When he drove off, she turned from the door, shutting and locking it as always. She flipped the light to her office and room on, pouring up the six screen monitor she'd mounted. Heather chuckled, thinking back to something Drake had said. "If its a prison sentence then chackle me to the walls... Cause I've got somethin great to look at the entire time."

As soon as Drake got to his own apartment, he fell onto his bed. He was suddenly glad that he was out of there. It was true what they said when you find your own breedmate, it's irresistable not to take them or feed. He sighed, staring up at the ceiling and closing his eyes. The night would come soon for him, but hopefully the rogues won't come first.

Irena woke up the next morning with a yawn. She got to work soon enough, but couldn't quite concentrate on her work. When it was over, it was finally starting to get dark outside, and she jumped at the chance to leave. She glanced at her watch and sighed. She wouldn't have much time to change before she met that guy at the park in a while.

Heather finished her meeting with Mariah, more than satisfied with the price she was getting for her latest song. She closed her eyes and slid into bed, resting her head back on the pillow. "Drake..." She simply spoke his name and chills ran up her spine, causing her to smile as if she were in high school again.

The day was soon coming to the dark, but not yet. Drake had awoken just an hour before the sun would set, which was good for him. He sighed, getting up and stretching as he changed out of his clothes from the day before. They smelled like that girl, Heather..and it really only drove him over the edge. He had fed, so, now he was unable to get her from his mind, much.

Heather awoke early that morning, working on her garden first. She stepped in from the setting sun, setting two fresh cucumbers on the counter. She didn't have any gigs tonight, thank god. She washed the vegetables then turned on her radio, reaching for a knife as she moved around her kitchen in a very fluid dance.

After changing into a loose shirt and jeans, he sighed. If only he asked for her damn number. "Heh, that would only make things worse." he said, shaking his head. Plus, there was a hidden objective to his wanting to go back to the bar and meeting up with Heather. He had also felt another presence. Something eerie.

Heather sat out on her front porch, knife in her pocket as she watched the night sky. It was so pretty in the country, away from the big lights and distractions... She did miss Drake, though they were supposed to be nothing more than mates. Maybe wanting to be something more created a connection between the two of them.

Drake had followed his memory, driving on his bike to Heather's only to see her out on the porch. Stopping right before her, he took off his helmet and smiled. "What are you doing out here? A knife I doubt is gonna help much." he teased, putting his helmet down and getting up from his bike.

Heather chuckled, leaning back in her chair some. "Well, I don't need any protection when you're around ya know..."

Drake grinned. "Yeah, but what if I'm not around that time?" he asked as he walked up to the door and then sat beside her on the porch.

Heather chuckled. "Then I'll find a way to fend for myself... Don't know how quite yet. How was your day?"

Drake blinked. His day? "Did you forget? I slept all day." he chuckled, shaking his head. He rubbed Heather's, smiling. "Yours?"

Heather blushed, chuckling. "Mine was fine. Spent a lot of time in my garden. Damn bugs are getting at my tomatoes and it's pissin me off personally... I like my tomatoes fresh and not having holes in them, but that's just me..."

"Nah, it's understandable. Still, why not grow them inside? There's such a thing as inside grown gardens, no?" Drake asked, raising a brow. He had heard about it, but obviously with all the commotion, he didn't exactly have time to investigate further. He looked over her, smiling. "So, wanna get a drink then?" he asked, though obviously he meant for her. He didn't drink alcohol.
