Drake took a deep breath. The girl knew she had appeal, most definitely not afraid to flaunt it. He sighed, chuckling. "Yeah...I'm sure." he said, nodding as he remained tense. He could feel the damn thing following them. Was it dumb? As soon as they would arrive there, the rogue took refuge in an alley, waiting for them to take off their guard. "Um, why not go inside? I'll go in a few....Just gotta check on the bike for a quick bit.." he said, coughing and smiling.

Heather arched an eyebrow at him with a smirk, still sitting on the back of his bike when he stepped off. She pulled it off, setting it on his seat. "I figure I might be able to do that..." She slid off slowly, pulling her hair down from the half-up french bun.

Drake sighed, watching as her hair fell about her in waves. Man, did he ever think a more beautiful woman could exist? No wonder she was a breedmate. Well, if that tear really was a birthmark. He waited until she went inside to actually look for the rogue. "Come one out you bastard.." he muttered quietly, hearing the guy laugh quietly. "What a tasty looking morself of a woman, eh? I'm sure you're dying to taste her blood." he said in a shrill voice. They continued their conversation now by actions as he searched the damn thing out.

Heather walked inside, slidding through her kitchen. It wasn't small, but it wasn't massive either. "Well, if he's going to work on his bike... He's going to need some tools." She opened the door to her pantry, pulling out the toolbox.

Soon grunts of struggles and fighting were heard outside. Of course, followed with an eerie screech of pain didn't help. "Agh, die!" Drake yelled, hissing and digging the dagger deeper into the rogue's neck. The blood was spillling like a fountain practically, a small puddle of blood forming beside them.

Heather heard the screech of pain and went back to the pantry, throwing open the main section. She rummaged down beneath the tools and pulled out her .9 mm, making sure the clip was loaded. She opened the door and stepped out into the darkness, the gun falling limp in her hands. She stared at the sight before her: the thing bleeding out from a neck wound under Drake, Drake making sure the wound stayed open...

Drake looked up, feeling himself stiffen. Heather had seen him killing this rogue. Crap. He gulped, slowly standing, the dagger in his hand with small drops of blood dripping down the blade. "Heather...don't overreact." he said calmly, slowly walking to her.

"Yep," he leaned back in his chair, pretending to take a drink of the beer bottle in his hand. He couldn't actually drink the stuff. Well, he could, but it wouldn't do anything for him.

Heather blinked, bending down. She gently put the toolbox on her patio, straightening up. "He wasn't normal... Was he? You wouldn't have had to fight him the way you did, how fast and hard you did... I mean... I never doubted, but at the same time I was never sure." She looked up at him now, a look of understanding in her eyes that few people could honestly comprehend. "You're one too, right?"

"What? What do you think I am?" Drake asked, a bti hopeful that she wasn't thinking he was something based on hollywood movies. They weren't monsters. They were civilized. He then was relieved as the blood turned to dust as the rest of the body from the rogue did so. This would only confirm her guess if it was even correct in the first place. "I killed him because he was following us....It's alot to explain but if you have the time and want to know, I'll tell you."

Heather sighed, looking down for a moment before she pulled him close. Their lips were only inches apart when she spoke. "I know what you are... And I've known who I am to you for years..." She kissed him, her hands gripping his shirt tightly. She pulled away, looking up at him with a smile. "5th General."

Drake was surprised that she knew his actual rank. How foolish he was. Not all women that were breedmates were so dumb. Most of them were intellectual. "Have you ever seen me in this city?" he asked, raising a brow and gripping at her sides tightly. That kiss was very nice, but he couldn't just give in.

"She laughed and took a drink of her beer. He could be quite entertaining when he wanted to be, she decided. "You know, there's something different about you, but I just can't put my finger on it" she said aloud, though partially just to herself.

He raised his eyebrow and chuckled. "Something different? Is it a good different or a bad different," he asked, giving her a crooked smile, hiding his fangs.

She had to think about that one for a moment. Did it seem like a good kind of different or the bad kind? The good kind, she decided, looking over at him. "I have a feeling it may be a good different...." she said with a slight smile. She didn't know what it was, but she liked him.

He chuckled. "I'm flattered." He noticed her drink was nearly gone. "Do you need a refill," he asked, pulling out some cash from his pocket.

Heather smiled, her eyes searching his as she nodded slowly. "Yes... But only a few times. I've seen so many gorgeous blonde men that it's usually hard for me to keep track. But there was an ethereal sense about you. So I remembered your face. Besides the fact that from the first time I saw you I was head-over for you..."

"Sure, thanks" she said with a smile. Normally she wouldn't let a guy buy her a drink, but today, she thought, why not? It couldn't hurt to have another one. Even so, she tried to keep in mind to not drink too much. She hated having hangovers the next day.

"Why didn't you say anything? Imagine the hurt any of those rogues could've done to you.." Drake said, not even wanting to imagine himself either. They could've tortured her, held her captive and killed her slowly. Lately they've concentrated on the women, not the men, the ones they should fear. Are they afraid of them reproducing? "Still...eh, at least you didn't freak out." he chuckled. "Also...I've been..hungry. Do you mind..?" he asked, staring at her neck.

"Because I figured that if anything came after, someone who's name rhymes with Drake would come and rescue me..." Heather chuckled. "Be my guest. I've been wondering how long it would take you to ask..." She pulled her hair back and to the side, tilting her head some.

Drake chuckled, smiling a bit. Here they were, speaking as if the gross and bloody fight had never occured. He sighed, seeing her offer her neck to him freely. It felt like fresh air, not having to seduce and fight. "Maybe inside would be best? Wouldn't want other rogues to come here and be attracted to your blood..." he said, smirking a bit at the irony as he pushed her inside gently, closing the door. Sure, they could still smell it, but it was less likely they'd go for the kill.

Heather took his hand as he led her inside. She turned back to face him, leading him towards her living room. "So, explain to me the differences between the rouges and yourself..." She sat down on the couch, smiling up at him as she pulled her hair back again.

"Well, you saw one, they're uncontrollable. Plus, they just love blood, and for some unexplained reason, they've been attacking anything that walks, specifically what you are, a breed mate. They want to try to exterminate us, the only vampires with immense power." Drake explained, sitting beside her and licking his lips with heavy breathing. "Why are you so willing? To let me feed..?"

Heather nodded, her head still tilted to the side. "Ah, I see... Well obviously you drink blood as well, so what keeps you and your commrades in such good control? And I'm willing because I can see that it's been a while since you last fed..."

He smiled and ordered her a refill, giving the waitress the money as she brought the drink back. He handed her the drink with a smile. "Your refill."
