She had his permission but she knew that she didn't have everyone's permission. It could have been seen as a bad thing that she prefered the company of a man who was not her fiance. If people knew that would happily start gossip that the fiancee of Reginald Bisson, one of the wealthiest men in the state, was hanging around a shady older man. "I wish that I really could." she murmured, walking over to him and hugging him. "But Mama already wants to kill enough as it is." she chuckeled softly and then pulled away. "Thank you for letting me staying." She didn't want to go, but she knew that she needed to.

Danny sighed and nodded. He didn't want her to go but he knew she was right.

She found it hard to let go until the last possible second. "Do you think you could walk me home, Danny?" It was a bright, sunny day and a pretty little thing like Jenny could have easily gotten a cab home. But she didn't want that. She offered him her sweetest smile and a slight hint of puppy dog eyes, wanting him to comply to her simple wish.

' Alright..." he said hopeing he wouldn't get caught.

She walked out with him into the sunshine of the beautiful May day, enjoying the playful breeze that touseled her otherwise flawless hair. Jenny held his hand as they had done the first night they had met and if no one had known any better it would have been easy to assume that the two were a couple. The girl in the couple was outright glowing and radiant from happiness.

Danny looked like someone no one wanted to mess with. He had these eyes that could strike fear in anyone.

It was quite the contrast to see someone as threatening as Danny standing between someone as tiny and sweet looking as Jenny. As they reached her families home she thanked him for escorting her and hesitated before kissing his cheek. "I hope I'll still be able to see you on Saturday." she murmured softly, looking up at him with a gentle smile. "I'm going to miss you a lot by then."

"You too, alright?" she asked, smiling at him once more. With one final glance she bid him goodbye and then walked up the walkway to the stoop of her house and then walked into the house. As she had suspected she was greated by a nervous maid and an angry mother. Jenny sat down on the sofa while her mother went into full out interrogation, asking her where she had been. Just as she had done a few days before, she answered calmly and soon enough her mother was going over fonts for the table placements.

After not having seen Danny for a few days Jenny was preparing to see him at the speak easy. He had given her the address (which she had stashed in her purse) and she was currently going through what she would be wearing. What did one wear to a speak easy? (The answer would be clothes that Jenny did not own because she was, well, Jenny.) After a few minutes she picked a navy blue dress with white buttons which gave it a cute "uniform" look. While Jenny was undoubtfully beautiful she did not fit the current trend of the 20's. While the fashion was currently the flat chested, tom boy look Jenny passed on with innocent curls the color of black French lace, an hour shape figure, and an innocence that was simply not found within flappers. After one last final check, she sighed and

Danny was currently at the speak easy. He was sipping some whiskey and watching people. Luis was right beside him. " Cops are starting to get hints of this place. We need to be more careful." Danny nodded his head. His eyes were dark and menancing.

When Jenny reached the speak easy she stood out right away, not because of her innocence or beauty but because of her bright she seemed compared to everyone else. Everyone was dingy and pleasantly drunk, chattering away in the shadows. Jenny looked around quietly (and nervously) before removing her matching navy blue pea coat and walking over to the bar. The bar tender was a beautiful statuesque woman with long blone hair and a figure similair to Jenny's, though she carried it better, more sensually, with rogued lips and painted eyes. "Hello," the bartender greated, her voice husky yet kind. "What's your poison, Sug?"

(Sug being short for sugar ^^; )

Danny was in the back corner. He didn't see her come in because he was busy making arrangements with the boss.

Jenny sheepishly asked for a Shirley Temple (not only out of not wanting to drink but because she didn't know the names of many alchohol bevarages) to the bartender's amusement. What a cute little thing she was. How in the world had she ended up here? For a brief minute she glanced over at Danny and wondered if he had anything to do with it. Danny was charming and had a soft spot for women, though she had always thought he had prefered sensous, experienced women. This girl hardly looked like she knew anything about the art of sex. There was no way they were involved. Placing down the Shirley Temple infront of Jenny she asked, "What brings you here?"

Jenny took the drink and sipped from it coyly, staring down at the bright red marachino cherry. "I wanted to see one of the owners." she blushed, "But I don't see him anywhere right now." She looked up, surprised when a throaty laugh passed from the bar tender's pretty lips. "W-what..." she stuttered, her face reddenning though she wasn't sure why.

"Oh, Danny," the bartender crooned, laughing once more. This girl was deffinately not Luis's type, but to think that she was in any way connected to Danny made her highly amused.

Danny sat down his drink and yawned softly. " hmm" He looked over to the bar. He saw her. He dind't think she would come.

How long has Danny been chasing your skirt?" the bartender asked, earning a surprised look from Jenny as she worked to gulp down the Shirley Temple in her mouth as oposed to spitting it out in shock. The bartender knew that even if Danny was chasing the girl there was no way he had gotten her into bed just yet; there was something about her eyes. "He's quite the charmer." she mused, sighing contently as she thought back to her past escapades with Danny. "He certainly knows how to make a woman feel like a woman."

Jenny listned to this quietly, her stomache feeling as if there was a black hole. "Oh?" she asked quietly, her hand tightly gripping her glass. She'd yet to answer to woman's previous question because she knew that Danny wasn't chasing her skirt. After seeing the bartender it was becoming apparent to her who his type was. It shouldn't have bothered her, especially since she had a fiance but there was still that damnable crush that she had on him. Her cheeks were flushed as she asked, "Was he a good lover?"

After hearing Jenny's lesson the bartender hooted, amused and nodded her head. "Oh, of course. And you don't have to just take my word for it. Ask any of his lovers- and there are a lot. He takes very good care of a girl." she was once against thinking back to her brief yet fiery affair with Danny when he had been a younger man. "Mmm," she murmured, followed by a laugh. "You certainly break the mold, of course. He always struck me as a guy who wanted someone experienced."

Danny wasn't the one to go around flaunting just who he shared his bed with. He was experianced in the bedroom but he also has other motives. His motives was to find a wife eventually. Surprisingly the previous women he beded had not produced any offspring of his. Probably because of thier other partners. He just was lucky. He stood up and walked over " So you made it. I hope this lady hasn't been bothering you" he looked at the bartender and gave a sly wink but he focused his attention on Jenny. " I should've told you this is a bit of a spotty place."

Before Danny had gotten up Jenny had been able to talk to the bartender a bit more. She had known that Danny was experienced in the bedroom, but for some reason it really hit her when she met someone who had been one of Danny's lovers. When Danny came up she hardly heard what he said, just focused on how he looked at the bartender and how she looked at him. "Oh." she said softly, her throat feeling as if it were closing up. Idley stroking a stray lock of her black hair, she glanced back at her glass which was empty and then back to Danny. "I have to go." she whispered softly and then excused herself from the both of them and left the speak easy. She breathed in shakily once she was outside and attempted to hail a cab.

Danny blinked. What was with her? He ran out " Jenny wait up!"

Jenny gasped gently hearing him call after her and walked further down the street trying to get a cab. She ignored the minor realization that she had left her coat inside, her heart beating erratically in her chest. "Please, please, please." she cried underneath her breath, bothered by the lack of taxi cabs currently on the street.

" Jenny what is wrong" he frowned catching up with her.

She couldn't look at him. "Well right now I can't seem to catch a taxi." she answered quietly. Jenny hated being so weak, and so innocent and so ignorant to what was shared between men and women. She hated liking Danny and how butterflies seemed to flutter in her stomach whenever he was near. "In a place like New York it seems impossible to not be able to catch a cab."

" why are you trying to leave. Did I do something wrong" he said

"No." Jenny answered truthfully. He hadn't done anything wrong. Danny was a grown man who of course knew his way around women. The feeling within her- jealousy- was childish and stupid. But it still ran fluidly in her veins. "You haven't done anything wrong, Danny. You've been very kind to me, actually." she added, her voice sad. "But I need to go back home. There are so many small details that need to be worked out for the wedding and I need to pick out what napkins I want and which cake..." she sighed, not sure what else to say.
