Drew laughed. "Dude, you're still as young as you were a thousand years ago," he murmured into the mic. "What's the sudden rush?"

" Exactly. A thousand years ago. I don't know what the rush is, I guess...its my paternal alarm going off in me." he sighed shaking his head. " I shouldn't be rushing like this...she's so happy right now and I don't want her to freak out. I mean I just forced eternal love and life onto her in a few days. I mean I'm no Romeo but I was quick to get over Rosaline."




( Meaning: In the play Romeo was quick to forget Rosaline [ what he th ought was his true love] and fall for Juiliet fast and declare her his true love. Under that meaning Dameon means " I am not Romeo for I am not one to be so quick to fall in love." )

"That's what happens, man," Chase said. "She comes when you least expect it and you're helpless against her. Ain't that right, Diz?"

"Yeah," Diz chuckled, smiling at his Breedmate, Crystal, as she walked past him to meet the other two. "Welcome to the club, Dameon. We'll make jackets."

" All I can think about her. I mean you'd think I'd have a shrine somewhere or something." he sighed as his eyes scanned for Iris real fast. He felt pathetic yet he liked having a breedmate all the same.

Chase chuckled. "Think about it this way: the sooner we get done with the mission, the sooner we can get back to our girls. That's what I have to do," he sighed.

" I want to go home soon" He admitted and sighed. He looked around the bar.

"We'll get done soon. I don't see or smell any Rogues in this bar," Luke murmured and walked out of it, sniffing the air. Odd, he didn't smell any at all.

Dameon nodded. He didn't smell them either.

"Something's up," Luke murmured into his headset. Drew and Chase met him outside. "I don't smell any," Chase noted.

"Exactly," Luke sniffed the air again. "Not a trace."

" Like I said they're in the country" he said.

Luke sighed. "I guess we'll have to wait until tomorrow," he murmured.

Dameon nodded. " yep

Chase grinned. "More time with our girls," he chuckled. "Race you guys home?"

"You won't win," Drew grinned.

Luke got into his van and headed back to the compound, then to the library.

Iris was eating with Sam and Crystal in a foyer-type room.

They headed back and dameon looked around anxiously.

Sam smiled once she felt Chase come back into the building. "They're back," she said cheerfully and got up to go greet him.

Iris didn't know how she knew, but she... felt that Dameon was back. She smiled at Crystal sheepishly and got up to follow Sam so she could greet Dameon.

Dameon put his stuff down.

Where Sam practically thew herself in Chase' arms, Iris was a bit more modest. She smiled at Dameon, glad to see he was okay. "Welcome home," she said softly.

Dameon wrapped his arms around her and kissed her,"missed you"

She smiled and kissed him back. "I missed you, too."

" What did you do while I was away" he asked gently.

"Sam and Crystal treated me to dinner. Err... breakfast. I guess I gotta get used to the switch," she chuckled.

Dameon chuckled and kissed her " I love you" he finally told her

She smiled and kissed him back. "I love you, too," she told him honestly.

He smiled and took her hand," want to walk around?"

"Sure," she smiled, holding onto his hand.
