| It wasn't like she'd let him into his life. So why argue. | |

| He was probably right. Molly wanted there to be a strong male influence in Jason's life, not the influence of a man who didn't even know what he wanted. With one final glance over at the house that she had once known so well, Molly left. Her hands were already on her keys and she was soon off in her car, hoping that she would never have to be anywhere near the old house ever again. |

| Dom walked back into the house and sat down holding his head. | |

| A tired yawn passed from Molly's lips when she finally reached her house. After paying the babysitter she went to check on Jason one more time before going to her own bedroom. Underneath the bedsheets she lay with her thoughts, most of them not surprisingly being about Dom. That silly, stupid man. Sighing, she closed her eyes and let sleep overtake her. |

| Dom pulled at his hair. " This is not how I wanted to live my life." he cried softly. " I feel so powerless. I have a son I can't even see" He went to bed lonely and extremely depressed. | |

| Now he was making things up. Never once had Molly specifically said that he could not see his son. She had not even forbidden him to be near Jason. All that she had suggested was that it wasn't necessary for him to personally have to meet Jason. Of course he had ended up pussing out and taking out the wrong way instead of talking it out and explaining why he had every right to meet his son.
When Molly awoke the next day she found that she had bags under her eyes due to not being able to find a good night's sleep. She had mostly had nightmares about Dom and the past and a suspiciously scary future. With a disgruntled yawn she got up from bed and went to shower, shrieking when the water came on way too cold for her to handle on that particular morning. |

| Jason came into the bathroom rubbing his head. " Mommy I'm in here. I have to go potty. I'm sorry. I really have to go." he said. He peed and put the lid down and went out. He went to go play with his skateboard in the kitchen. | |

| "It's alright, Hunny." Molly answered, shivering. Once the water heated up she went back to washing herself. A tired yawn passed her lips and once she had finished showering she needed to fight to stay asleep. "Ugh, Dom." she groaned, reaching for her make up to hude the bags that were underneath her eyes. Once she was ready she walked into the kitchen to make Jason his breakfast. |

| Jason went to her and hugged her leg and nuzzled her. | |

| "Oh, hunny." Molly smiled, kissing the top of Jason's hands. "You're getting so tall." she commented, briefly forgetting that he probably got his height from Dom. "Soon you're going to be tallter than me and when we go the grocery market I'll be the one put in the little basket." she teased, though she didn't put Jason in the cart anymore. |

| Jason pouted. " You're too tall for that too, mommy." Jason was 8 he had a few years left of boyhood. He was getting taller already and it wouldn;t be too long before he would grow into a young man. | |

| Molly laughed and ruffled her son's hair. "Oh, Jason. I was only joking around with you." Kissing him on the top of his head she then turned around to finish up the pancakes. "So, are you excited for summer vacation? Only one more week of school." she reminded him, offering him a gentle smile. She was on the fence about letting him go to a sleepaway camp that year. |

| "Sometimes it's healthy for two people to be apart from one another for a while. It makes them remember how much they love one another." She didn't want Jason feeling jealous about going out in life and actually living it. The time on Earth that people had was too short to not go against the norm and make friends against all odds. "I want you to have fun this summer, sweetheart." |

| "Then it was bound to happen eventually." she murmured. Patting his shoulder, she smiled. "I promise you that you will enjoy yourself and have a fun summer." she promised. With that said she went to pour herself a cup of coffee. Just a few more days of school and then it would be the summer time. She still had some last minute shopping for when he went to camp, things like bug spray and high socks. |

| Jason frowned then looked at her " Mommy how did you meet my dad? Was it like Robin Hood and Maid Marian? Were you sweethearts and did he sweep you off your feet like Robin Hood did? Did he save you from the mean phoney King of england and storm the casle to save you?" he asked. | |

| Upon hearing Jason ask (quite unexpectedly) about his father, Molly gasped and nearly choked on her coffee, having to spit it out into the sink. "Ick," she groaned to herself, resting her hand on her stomach. Sighing, Molly shook her head. "No, no. It was nothing like that." Dom certainly isn't heroic or manly enough to be Robin Hood, she thought to herself, remembering his dismissive and weak he had been when she had seen him only a day or so ago. |

| Jason frowned. " oh? ........" he got down and bit his lip. He had an aruguement with one of his friends about his dad. his friend said that his mom told him that he ( jason) was probably a result of a one night romance. Jason guessed his friend's mom was right. His parents never loved each other then what did that make him. He felt really bad. He went up to his room and hide under his bed with his teddy and a book and cried into his teddy. | |

| Molly sighed softly to herself, not knowing how to explain her relationship with his father. Of course they had loved one another, their relationship had gone on for a very long time. Sadly things had needed to end because of Jason and because of the true sticky situation that his parents had been in. How could she explain all of that to a little boy who hardly understood the birds and the bees? A few minutes later she walked up to Jason's room with a slice of pizza that she had warmed up from the night before and a glass of lemonade. "Hey," she said quietly, walking over to his bed. "I brought you some lunch." |

| "Where is there this sudden interest with your father?" Molly asked, sighing softly. "Come here," she finally said after a few minutes, pulling him into her lap. "I know that I don't talk a lot about your father and for that I'm sorry. I'm the one being selfish, not you." Brushing some hair was his eyes, she continued. "I'll answer whatever questions you have about your father. I promise." |

| Molly sighed softly. "If you wanted to do these things, you could have asked me." she said softly. When Jason had been younger she had done anything to make him happy. She had played Batman with him and Power Rangers with him just as good as any father had. Pushing away the small feelings of jealousy, she decided to further encourage her son to ask questions about his dad. |

| Jason crawled onto his bed and held onto his pillow. " I want to nap.." he said closing his eyes. | |
