Olivia sighed once more for she knew that in the Flack family nobody ever let anyone know how they were trully feeling. Her only way of showing how she had trully been feeling for these passed twenty three years or so had been to refuse her husband's last name, as well making her daughter's keep her maiden name instead of their father's. Like her, her daughter been botteling up how she trully felt. The only difference between them was that Kimberly had found someone who gave enough of a damn about her to see behind the smiles.

| " I just really wanted to let you know how she is." Damien said. " She's my world and I just want her to be happy." he said gently. " I gave her and still give her everything I can give. I just wish she'd tell me her true deep feelings but then I could always see past the mask." Damien knew Kim like the back of his hand and he was her prince charming. He knew what to do to make her day better. Even having a little silly dance in the kitchen while she was trying to cook always made her laugh and smile. | |

From what he was saying it was quite obvious to see that her son-in-law was a very devoted husband to her daughter; She would have had to be a dunderhead of maxium stupidity to not see this. Sighing gently, she brushed some hair from her eyes. Perhaps it wouldn't hurt if she went to visit her daughter just this one time. She did owe her something after all of the childhood neglect. When Olivia had tried to stay away from her husband, she had stayed away from her daughter's as well.

Olivia sighed gently, it was hard to realize the fact that she was causing an unhappiness to either of her children. While she wasn't the best mother in the world per say, this did not mean that she was 100% neglectful of her childre and of her responsibilities. Sighing once more, she nodded her head. "I think that might be a good idea."

Once Olivia had finished getting what she had come to the grocery store for, she walked with Damien into the parking lot. After agreeing that she would follow him home to meet Kimberly, she walked off to her own car. Was her daughter really in such pain over not getting to see her all of those years when she had been younger. Brushing some hair from her eyes she sighed. How would this go?

Kimberly had been walking down the stairs after showering. Her hair was still damp and she wore casual clothes; A faded pair of jeans and an old red sweater. "Hmm?" she said softly, looking over at her husband. "Who is here to see me?" she asked. Was he talking about himself? Walking over to the door, she looked thoughtfully at her husband. In the background she could faintly see red hair.

Kimberly dropped the brush that she had been holding, not flinching when it landed with a thud on the floor. A part of her wanted to tell him to not joke about such things, but then she also knew that he would never joke about such a thing that would hurt her feelings. "S-she's here?" Kimberly whispered, her voice hopeful and distrustful at the same time.

Kimberly's breath caught in her throat as she looked at him. "Mom..." she whispered. It was like she was no longer a mother and wife with two children. At that moment she was the shy little girl she had once been who only wanted her mother's love. She threw her arms around her mother, burying her face against her mother's shoulder. Her shoulders shrugged and shook as she cried deeply.

Kimberly cried relentlessly, all of the pain that she had felt as a child finally released. Her shoulders trembled and she cried deeply unable to really stop. Every now and then she would realize that her mother was stroking her hair. As well as this, there was the occasional coddling, the whispers that everything was alright and that she was sorry.

Olivia smoothed back some of Kimberly's wild corkscrew curls, doing her best not to upset her anymore than she already was. Now that she got a good look at her youngest daughter, she saw how much she really did look like her. Sighing gently, she hardly noticed that the little boy had entered the room. She couldn't help but look at him for a few minutes.

" Ok" He yawned putting his head on his dad's shoulder. | |

For some reason Damien's little act of loving parenting got to Olivia. She knew that neither of her daughters had recieved that from either her or her husband. They had been on their own in one way or another. Jessica had been admired by her father, but even he had known that she was a big no one. That she was going no where. Kimberly had been ignored completely. She was starting to really see just how bad her daughter's childhood had been.

Kimberly cried harder as she heard the sounds of Damien walking up the staircase and bringing their son to see his little sister. She felt lost and almost as if she were drowning. Now that her mother was here she was healing yet also breaking at the same time. Her mother lead her to the couch and let her rest her head on her lap as she continued to cry.

It wasn't until an hour and a half later that Kimberly finally ceased her crying. Every now and then she would let out a little hiccup, still swayed over with heavy emotion. Sighing gently, she remained quiet as her mother stroked her hair, telling her the few stories that she remembered about Kimberly's childhood. It felt good to have a mother.
