Olivia looked up from her daughter to see Damien walking down the stairs. In his arms he carried a baby girl with hair so bright and shiney that she could have only been Kimberly's daughter. Beside him was the little boy that she had seen before. She could notice the sort of worry emmiting from the both of them, and saw just how much they loved their mother.

Deren went to his mom and hugged her leg. " Mommy, up, pwease?" he asked gently.

Damien went into the kitchen with Robyn to get her a little bottle of apple juice.

Kimberly mumbeled something softly and then sat up, carefully picking up her son. "Hey, Sweetheart." she said gently, looking down at Deren. "Did you sleep alright, buddy? What have you been doing with Daddy?" She gently smoothed down his curly blonde hair, smiling gently at him. There was no reason to make him sad like she was. He was her little boy, she was supposed to protect him from being sad.

Deren snuggled into her arms, " Daddy took Robyn and I to you guys' bedroom and we watched spongebob and scooby doo. " he said.

"Wow, that sounds like fun." Kimberly cooed, being nurturing to the little four year old. "What happened in Spongebob? I need to stay updated, you know." she added, cuddeling with her son. Kimberly would probably cry when he got older and would no longer need her. These would be the happier years, the ones she would look back to if there ever came a time when they would fight or be angry with one another.

"You don't say." Kimberly said, putting on the act of being completely and utterly intereted in what it was her son was saying. Her heart was still beating loudly, though, and she hoped that he couldn't hear it. With a gentle sigh, she continued to cuddle with her son, trying her best to ignore her mother for the time being. Her mother had always ignored her, there was no reason why she couldn't do the same.

Kimberly sighed and tried her best to choose her words wisely. A more paranoid part of her was annoyed and secretly believed that Deren actually knew who the woman was who sat on the other end of the coach. The intelligent part of her knew that this was not the case and that even if Deren did know, he would not taunt her in such a way. "Who does she look like?" she asked softly. "Does she remind you of anyone?"

A small sigh passed her lips and she nodded her. "That's right, Sweetie," she said, stroking his soft blonde hair. "And why do you think that she looks like Mommy?" Kimberly asked. She was leading him to the answer because it almost seemed impossible for her to say it herself. When Damien had brought her home she had not known what to say. As of now she still did not know what to say.

Kimberly bit back a sob, already feeling a new set of tears pounding against her eyes lids. She nodded her head and wiped at her lips, though she knew that there was no reason to. "This is grandma." she answered him, her voice a little hoarse. Out of the corner of her eye she could see her mother looking at them, though she wasn't sure if it were her or Deren that she was trully focusing on.

Deren had inherited his dad's angelic golden hair and beautiful ivory skin then Deren just had these huge green eyes that just made him look even more inhumanly beautiful.

A lot of people had trouble believing that Kimberly was Deren's mother due to the lack of resemblence between the two. It was situations like that where she would eb thankful that she never saw her family for she knew that Jessica would spread lies to other people that Deren was the love child between Damien and a mystery woman. Kimberly would not have her little boy's name dragged through the mud. Unless a person had seen her pregnant, it was hard to see any resemblence between them. But it was there.

Kimberly sighed gently as she looked down at her son. It felt weird explaining who her mother was when she was right there. It also felt weird when she compared her closeness to Deren with the distance between her and her mother when she had been growing up. Looking over at her mother she offered her a weak smile, and then moved over and placed Deren in her lap.

Olivia gulped slightly and nodded her head. "Hi." she said back,looking down at the little boy in her lap. It felt even more awkward having Deren in her lap, though she was not sure why. She decided to chalk it up to the fact that Deren was a boy and that she had only given birth to girls. Deep down, though, she knew that it was because he had probably already formed an opinion of her after seeing his mother cry.

That was because he was so short. "Hey there," she said gently, reluctantly touseling his shiney blonde hair. He was such a beautiful little boy. Right away, though, she noticed something about him that he didn't recieve from his father but from his mother. Very faintly underneath the collar of his shirt she could make out a cresent shaped birthmark on his upper back.

Olivia smiled softly and did her best to be patient with her newfound grandson; After all, he had waited three years to meet her. With a gentle sigh she looked over to Kimberly who looked incredibly uncomfortable with the whole situation. It made her feel bad to think that she could make someone cry as much as Kimberly had cried when she had first seen her.

Olivia sighed gently and then shook her head. Somehow she knew that in a way she deserved this. Even if he wasn't purposely trying to ignore her, it was only the short attention span that so many children his age had, she still felt that she was being punished for her lack of prescence in Kimberly's life. Looking over at her daughter, she noticed that Kimberly was watching her son with the loving eyes of a mother.
