Deren squealed with joy as he found his teddy. He dragged him by the ear and scrambled back onto the couch hugging his bear tightly "Mommy I got old stuff bear!" he smiled happily.

Kimberly chuckled gently and helped him up on to the couch. It seemed that he had already switched to a new point of internet, in a way pushing away the thought of his grandmother. Touseling his hair she decided to leave it alone for the time being, enjoying seeing her son so happy. There was no reason to force him to be all open and happy with the grandmother he had just met.

Damien came in with Robyn and a tray of drinks. Damien handed the wine to Kim and her mother and a sippy cup to Deren. " Yay!" Deren suckled the sippu cup and held onto his bear happy as could be.

After an hour or so of goofing around with Deren and Robyn, Kimberly eventually had to put Robyn down for her nap. Since Deren was older he didn't have to take a nap until later in the afternoon. Now the house was quiet yet somehow still lively due to the apparant inhabitance of small children. Kimberly smiled gently as she held Deren who was watching TV.

By now Olivia had retreated to the kitchen. She had been sitting at the table for about an hour now, the cup of coffee that she had made now cold and unwanted. There was a sort of pit and loneliness in her stomach and she felt very much like she was being neglected by her own daughter. The feeling was horific and she shuddered to think that her daughter had felt like this for most of her childhood.

Olivia looked up and nodded her head. She knew that Kimberly wasn't purposely ignoring her, her daughter simply needed to look after her children. Still, though. There was a sort of loneliness that would just not leave her alone. Brushing some hair from her eyes, she sighed once more. It wasn't a whole lot of fun being ignored.

"The children really love her, don't they?" she asked thoughtfully, picking up and then placing down the mug of coffee. Sighing gently, she looked down at her hands and took in a deep breath. How could her daughter be such a good mother when she had been such a lousy mother? Didn't children learn from example? How was Kimberly so happy now?

" Yes, Well, Deren is particually attached to her, he was our first baby and well on the day he was born I could tell those two would be unseperatable. " he said getting a cup full of water. " Robyn is different though she loves her alot she is a bit of a daddy's girl and tends to prefer me to comfort her." Damien said as he added a lemon. " Kim has always been a little shakey at new things but once she sets her mind to it, she's goes. She has becomed a very strong woman."

"Because of you?" she asked softly, sighing and brushing some hair out of her eyes. Why couldn't she have been as lucky as her daughter? Yawning gently, she got up from the table. "Maybe I should leave." she said gently. "I'll come back latter when the children are back in bed." Olivia reassured him. She wanted to get to know to her daughter better, but she knew that now was not that time.

Olivia couldn't help but feel annoyed with Damien at his suggestion that she let Kimberly knew that she would be leaving. Had he really beloved that she would be leaving without letting her daughter know? Did he really think so little of her? Nodding her head, she bit back her several sarcastic comments, screaming on the inside. As she reached the living room she bid her daughter goodbye and then left.

A few months back Rose had decided that she would go to college to study to be an artist. She had set up a portfolio for the college, some of her best work inside. When a letter came back a month or so later she had been shocked and pleasantly surprised to see she had the potential for a scholarship. The letter had come with instructions to meet with an art teacher. Throught the past two months he had been teaching her new ways to paint and get in touch with her artistic side. He was now, quite literally, telling her to be the art. Meaning he was suggesting that she pose nude for a few still life classes. Rose wasn't so sure if this was something she was comfortable with, or something that Nicky would like.

Rose had not yet told Nicky her teacher's request. Honestly she wasn't sure how to break it to him. While she wasn't sure if he was an overly posessive sort of lover, she did know that he did not appreciate it when she got looks from the other boys at school. Then again, a lot of the boys from school tried to grab her behind and what not.

Rose wasn't exactly revelling in the fact that her teacher was highly recommending it. She was modest to say the least. Aside from doctors, the only man to see her completely nude was Nicky. In a way she would feel like she was betraying him or cheating on him by posing for other people. But a scholarship might be the only way for her to get into college, and she would have to do whatever it took to get one.

Being upset about it wasn't going to change anything. Whether or not she posed for someone could make the difference between her having a college scholarship or having to work at some fast food restuarant for the rest of her life. Rose sighed softly when she heard the front door opening and Nicky walking in. They had been living on their own for a few months now.

What was he going to do about it? Rose sighed softly to herself and got up from the seat that she had been sitting in. Brushing off her skirt she went to find Nicky. She paused for a minute seeing him in the kitchen, admiring him from afar. Sometimes she still had trouble believing that he had fallen for her, even when she had seemed a hopeless case.

Nicky was finishing up a bowl of cereal. He drank the milk from the bowl and sat it in the sink. He stretched and yawned and went to look out the window for a breif moment.
