Rose watched him intently, as if it were a game of double dutch jump rope and she was looking for an opening. It wasn't everyday that a girl had to go up to her boyfriend and let him know that she had been offered a position to pose as a model for live driving- especially when she didn't want to. Sighing, she walked into the kitchen behind Nicky. "Hey..." she said softly.

"How was your day?" she asked, obviously beating around the bush. It was deffinately a game of double dutch, she realized. Sighing softly, she argued with herself mentally over whether or not it would be wise of her to just flat out admit why she was talking to him right then. Nicky was a modest man and he probably wouldn't appreciate her posing for other people.

It was nice to see that things were easy and typical for him. She felt like an emotional wreck at the moment. "Lucky you." she commented, walking over to the stove and turning off the fire that had been heating the tea. "Mine hasn't been very typical at all," she murmured, clearing her throat. "I've, er, been asked to model for a class."

Rose sucked in a breath, painfully aware to the fact that Nicky was not realizing that she had been asked to pose nude for a live drawing class. "Yeah," she said awkwardly, clearing her throat. "A, um, live drawing class." she added. Of course Rose was stalling against, for she knew that Nicky probably wouldn't understand that life drawing was a synonym for nude drawing. "I've been asked to, erm," she coughed, "Pose nude."

Rose threw up her arms in a sort of defense before explaining. "Well, now!" she cried. "I haven't agreed to it yet! And it isn't just for the sake of getting naked! According to my art instructor for me to reach a new peak in my artwork I must myself become artwork." As always, it sounded like a load of garbage having to explain it. Still, however, it was the truth.

Rose stared at him, shocked by his anger. Of course she knew about his temper, she had just never seen it excercised on her before. She couldn't say that she cared for it. "First of all," she said, fuming, "I do not appreciate you calling my professor a crackpot!" she said, looking at him angrilly. "And secondly, it is not photography! It's drawing! Camera's won't be allowed! He really thinks it would be good for me to learn from."

Rose felt hot tears welling in her eyes, and she bit her lip to hold them back. She wasn't going to cry, she refused. "Is that what you think of me..." she asked weakly, her voice wavering only slightly. "That my body is a one of a porn star?" Her hands were clenched in fists at her side. "The human body is not a dirty thing, the human body is beautiful..." Her voice shook. "E-except mine, apparently..." Rose whispered. "M-mine is dirty..." she shook her head, and turned, a few tears sliding past. She couldn't talk to him. Weakly excusing herself, she hurried off to the bathroom where she let herself cry.

Before Nicky realized what he had done it was too late. He looked down at his hands and closed his eyes in pain. He hated himself so much and now he ended up hurting the girl he loved the most in his life. " Rose...I hurt her..." he said as the salt from his tears stung his eyes.

Rose lay against the door, her arms wrapped around herself as the hot tears rolled down her cheeks. Nicky had come into her life when she had run away from her home and from her abusive fiance. He had been different, he had been so kind to her. This was really their first real fight, and she had not expected to feel so hurt. As she cried, she buried her face against her knees, curling into a small ball as if it was her way of hiding from the world.

Nicky never really wanted to hurt himself but after the fight he wanted to strangle himself so badly. He went outside and slammed himself against a tree a few times till the tree had a huge dent in it and fell over.

It wasn't hard to guess that Rose had self esteem issues stemming from her life at home. When she had come into Nicky's life those problems had been pushed away and she had begun to feel beautiful. After an hour or so of crying, she finally got up and showered. She didn't look at herself in the mirror, and quietly walked into their bedroom and dressed. Once she was dressed she laid down on the bed and closed her eyes, trying not to cry anymore.

Nicky layed on the ground burring his face in the grass. He hated himself so much right now. He didn't deserve her.

After another half an hour Rose finally looked up and glanced at the clock. It was getting late and by the look of things it was going to rain soon. Sighing softly she got up, grabbed her slippers and robe and went to look for Nicky. Opening the door to their house she walked out and began to look for her lover, finding him near a tree that had snapped in half. Walking to him, she then kneeled beside him. "Hey." she said softly, looking down at him.

Rose nodded her head, her bangs falling into her eyes. "I know," she said softly, taking in a soft breath. "It's starting to rain." Rose added, feeling a little awkward around him. "I don't want you to catch a cold." She opened the sash to her large bath robe and wrapped it around him some what. Due to his lean, petite frame it wasn't too hard to share a robe with him.

Rose smiled tenderly at him and then rested her head on his shoulder. "I love you too." she whispered softly, hugging him. While she was still hurt from what he had said, she was willing to look passed it. The last thing that Rose wanted was for Nicky to feel bad about imself. Deep down she could understand why he had acted that way, even though she hadn't agreed with his reaction.

The more logical part of Rose wanted to point out that both men and women attended Life Drawing classes. Despite this, however, the compassionate part of Rose knew better. Nicky was doing his best not to be jealous and possessive, and she understood why he would feel uncomfortable. Heck, even she wasn't comfortable with sitting in front of a bunch of strangers and posing for them. Sighing gently, she kissed his cheek. "I'm not all too comfortable about it myself," she admitted. "But my teacher is going to press this until I pose for someone, even if it's just for one person."
