Olivia was staying in a hotel room until she found a small apartment that she could afford. She was starting out on her writing career having sent in her first novel to be published. For the first time in a very long time she felt that she had been trapped in her life. The thought of being forced to see her family again made her sick. She had buried herself in her work before to be away from them.

Olivia sighed softly to herself when she saw that she was running out of groceries. Grabbing her bag, she decided it was time that she go grocery shopping for the week. She was about to go down to the Y to her writing class where she was the instructor. Her life was simple and easy going and for once she was happy. She was out of the relationdhip with Kimberly's father that she had never wanted to be in.

Damien 'accidentally' bumped into her. " Kimberly what are you doing here? I thought you were dropping our kids off at the day care?" Ha. This was gonna be interesting.

Olivia grunted softly when being bumped into. She turned to look at the boy who had purposely bumped into her. He looked like he was a college student, or at least couldn't have been any older than twenty. He was legal. She shrugged. "Ok, I'm Kimberly. My place or yours?" Olivia needed some fun in her life, and it seemed that he was up for supplying it.

Olivia shrugged her shoulders once more. "I can be if you want me to. But only for tonight. I'm not looking for anything long term. Just got myself out of one of those things." Grabbing for the instant mash potatos, she placed them in her basket and then looked thoughtfully at the blonde stranger. For some reason he seemed familiar. Had she seen him before?

Olivia furrowed her brow in annoyance and confusion. What was the point in bumping into her like that unless he was interested? It was a little rude to say the least. Looking at him thoughtfully, she grabbed at his sleeve. "Are you afraid of being with someone a little more experienced?" she asked. Was he calling her old or something? Just because she wasn't some pin headed twenty year old?!

"What is with you, Kid?" Olivia asked. "I'm just standing here, minding my own business, and you come waltzing in and find it fit to bump into me while I'm looking for some instant mashed potatoes. I think I deserve some sort of an explanation here. If it's not sex that you're interested in, then why are you bothering me?"

Once again Olivia raised her brow at the boy's sudden change in attitude. Well! "Hmm," she said, wetting her lips with the tip of her tongue. "That's an interesting way of finding out if a woman." she said, looking thoughtfully at him. While she wasn't looking for a string of promiscous lovers, she was mostly looking for one night to relieve her stress after a twenty one year long loveless and passionless marriage.

"Mhm," she said thoughtfully, looking down at her grocery basket. Only a few things. She could probably ditch them back at the motel, unless that was where he wanted to consumate their little deal. The only thing that made her wonder was why out of all of the names in the world, he had called her Kimberly. Olivia hadn't seen her youngest daughter in what was close to three years, let alone hear someone say her name. Once she had left, everyone in the family had ceased caring that she existed. Only once had she heard from her sister that Kimberly was staying with her, and that had been nearly two years ago. By now she suspected Kimberly was in college.

A lot of people suspected one redhead of being another. Sighing gently once more, Olivia looked over the young college boy one more time. While he looked like he deffinately could have relieved her of some stress, she wasn't sure if she could do it. Deep down she knew that he was too close to her own children's age. She would be too sickenened with herself. "I'm sorry," she said, "I have to go."

Olivia knew better than to assume that he was married to Jessica; The girl may have been pretty but Lord knew she was way too dumb to hold on to a man long enough for a true relationship to blossom. "You're married to Kimberly?" she asked softly. She hadn't seen her daughter in such a long time, it was almost like if she were dead. "How is she?" she heard herself ask.

Olivia sighed, understanding exactly what he meant by having taken Kimberly away from her father to give her a better life. "I'm a grandmother?" she asked, looking upon the boy with surprise. By now Kimberly had to be around twenty two years old. Sighing gently, she couldn't help but feel ghastly for having missed so much in her daughter's life. Unlike Jessica, Olivia had always known that Kimberly had a future.

"They're so little," Olivia remarked, unable to resist the urge to at least smile at the images of her grandson and granddaughter. Not to mention how happy Kimberly looked in the pictures. She had never seen her daughter smile so brightly. "You take good care of her." she stated, knowing that it had to be his doing, the way that she smiled and how purely happy she looked.

After a few minutes she finally asked the obvious question, "She misses me?" Olivia asked. Deep down she had always known of her youngest daughter's obvious adoration for her and even for her brutish husband. For all of the years of her motherhood and of Kimberly's life she had seen how desperately Kimberly had yearned to be loved by her family.
