Carmella smiled softly and presented him with a book by the famous Dr. Seuss. As she read to him she smiled softly and would pause every now and then to press a soft kiss on the top of his head. As she reached the end of the book, she chuckled. "Kid, you’ll move mountains!So…be your name Buxbaum or Bixby or Bray or Mordecai Ale Van Allen O’Shea, you’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting. So…get on your way!" she said softly, and then closed the book.

Damien was fast asleep again content.

Carmella kissed his cheek and then got out of bed slowly so as not to wake him up. Tucking him in, she reached for his stuffed lion and gave it to him before leaving his room. With a soft sigh she walked back to her bedroom. She had made love to Darrick only hours before. He had loved her gently and passionately and had given her all of him. Her whole family cared about her and her happiness.

People who loved you no matter what was your family.

Walking into the bedroom, Carmella yawned softly. She walked over to the bed and then lied down beside her husband. Looking at his peaceful, sleeping form, she smiled and brushed some of his soft blonde hair out of his eyes. "I love you." she whispered, pressing her lips to his in a quick kiss goodnight. Pulling away she then closed her eyes and let herself find sleep.

Darrick grunted softly in his sleep...

When the sun finally began to rise, Carmella awoke peacefully. She felt much more at ease than she had felt the night before. Smoothing out her negligee, she then walked over to the bathroom and closed the door. Undressing, she showered. The water poured down at her slowly and cleansed her of any bad feelings she'd felt the night before.

Darrick was already up. He had made breakfast and was in his woodshope in the back yard.

Carmella hadn't been able to resist smiling when she saw the skillfully prepared breakfast waiting for her in the kitchen. After pausing to take a cup of coffee, she then went outside to look for Darrick. After last night's love making (not to mention her own personal revelation) she was in a very loving mood and wanted to be around her husband.

Darrick was working on Damien's christmas present this morning. A castle, knights, and horses, plus the dragon he was working on carving.

Carmella knew that Darrick enjoyed makings things with his hand, as well as the fact that he was really good at it. As she walked towards the woodshop, she paused only to wrap her robe tighter around her. It was cold now that it was moving on to early December. Walking in, she smiled seeing Darrick working away at creating a toy for Damien.

Darrick looked up from carving wings for the dragon, " Hey you"

"Hey," Carmella responded, her voice soft and loving. Walking towards him, she gently wrapped her arms around him and rested her head on his shoulder. Looking down at what he had been working on, she smiled admiringly. "Damien is really going to love these, you know." she said thoughtfully, knowing that it was the truth. All of theri kids were always so impressed when Daddy made them something.

Carmella chuckled, "Sweetheart, I'm twenty-three years old and I want to play with the castle." she reassured him, looking admiringly over at the little dolls. The princess had soft pink cheeks, and pretty blonde hair; The carvings on the dragons wings were amazing and detailed. "It's all so amazing." she murmured softly. "I wish I could carve like this."

" I'm sure you'll get to play with it. Damien always loves to play with his toys with you. I also made this for him" he said. " It even has a sheath. Pull it out"

"Darrick..." Carmella murmured, pulling the wooden sword out of the sheath. "You've really outdone yourself this time." she murmured, carefully placing the sword back into the sheath. It made her a little sad that Darrick had such an amazing talent and she didn't really have one of her own. "Do you think you could teach me how to carve one of these days?" she asked.

" Of course' he smiled at her. " It would be really fun to carve with you!" he smiled as he set the dragon down by the cave he made as well.

Carmella smiled happily, pleased that Darrick didn't mind the idea of teaching her how to carve. It would be a fun way to spend time together. Brushing some hair out of her eyes, she then went to examine the toy that he had prepared for Lizzy, as well as another smaller gift for Clover since she was still too young to have a toy with a lot of small parts.

Carmella was struck with awe. She had never before seen such a beautifully carved dollhouse, not even in the old shops back when she had been a servant for Charles. Looking softly at Darrick, she wondered if she would able be able to carve like he could.

"Oh, my! Darrick!" Carmella gasped, unable to stop herself from picking up the little doll to give it a better inspection. "Did you sew the little outfit, too?" she asked, running her hand over the little shirt and shorts. The doll looked almost as if it had been bought from a store. To say the very least, she was amazed with her husband's craftsman ship.

Darrick couldn't help but smiled with pride. " I hope she adores it. And yes I did sew the clothes. It was hard but I did it" he smiled
