" I know." He said gently rubbing her back with his hand. " I have to make sure the boys don't do nothing stupid." he chuckled.

Carmella turned to smile at him and thyen chuckled. "I'm pretty sure that you meant 'Don't do anything stupid'." she teased, sticking her tongue out at him. Smiling softly at him and then kissing his cheek, she then rested her head on his shoulder. It was nice to be able to joke around with him every now and then like this. It really was so very tiring having to worry about everything.

Carmella smiled and sighed contently. "I love you, Darrick." she whispered softly. Very reluctantly, she pulled herself away from him to go and check and Seth. She knew that Sophie and Jason probably wouldn't be happy if they say their son passed out and sickly looking. Sooner or later she would have to explain the relationships between werewolves and vampires.

It was possible, but it didn't happen a whole lot. Despite the fact that an actual fued between vampires and werewolves did not exist, some still liked to believe that either vampires were superior to werewolves or that werewolves were above vampires. Cases like Jean and Adam only seemed to happen once in a blue moon. Cases like Lizzy and Bryan? Well... Lizzy had always gone against the grain.

Ryan didn't see Vampires superior and he didn't see Werewolves superior to vampires.

From what Carmella had gathered from her daughter's marriage to Ryan was that Ryan adored Lizzy. After Lizzy's third child was born- their first child together- Carmella had never seen a happier man. He had loved Emmette and Melody as his own, but it was quite obvious to see the joy over the fact that he had created a child with Lizzy.

Ryan was hoping for a second child with Lizzy but he didn't know if they would.

Lizzy wasn't sure if she wanted another child. In all fairness she could understand why Ryan would want another child; He only had one child of his own. It was easy to see why he might want another little boy or perhaps even a little girl of his own. Either way, though, it was still something to talk about. All of the kids were grown, Emmette would be a freshman in college with a year and Melody was seventeen years old with a mate of her own.

Charles brought Melody back.

Ryan just wanted one more child.

Lizzy yawned softly and brushed some of her honey blonde hair from her eyes. It had been another exhausting day at the paper, and she really needed to kick back and relax. Stepping out of her heels and removing her blazer, she fanned herself with her hand and went off in search of a wine glass and a bottle of wine.

Lizzy smiled and paused to tossle her son's hair, "Hey, Sweetie." she said, smiling at him. As he retreated back to his bedroom, she continued on with her search for wine. As the editor of the local newspaper, she was the one who suffered the most when deadlines started to come closer and closer. She needed a break. Not that she would tell her boss this.

Joseph smiled happily when she tossled his hair. He went into his bedroom to find his project that he got an A on. He wrote a paper on the solar system. He got a 98% on it and he wanted to show his mom.

Emmett was in the refridgurator" millkk and cakeee" he said licking his lips. He got some milk and a slice of cake his mom made. " Oh man this is gonna be good" he looked at the slice of cake and hurried off so he wouldn't get caught. Typical emmett. He was known for stealing a slice of cake before dinner and Lizzy never had a full cake to present for desert.

As she walked through the house she did a few things to make herself feel more comfortable. Undid the tight bun that her hair was in, loosened the small dress tie that she was wearing, unbuttoned the first two buttons to her blouse. When she finally reached the liquour cabinet she grinned and opened it to take out a bottle of one of their better wine.

"Oh poo" he said under his breath. He had to tiptoe pass his mom. That was like just putting your hand to a rattlesnake and not get bitten. It was like impossible! Emmet tried anyways for the cake! He tiptoed quietly as he could. His brown hair was betraying him and he hated his hair for that reason. It was making his nose itch " ahhh ahhh AHHCOOO" he sneased and the cake went flying into his mom's head. " Oh no fucking way." he then realized he swore too! " SHIT!" he began to run like a white boy in the ghetto.

Lizzy had been about to remove the cork to the wine bottle when something squishy landed on her head. Reluctantly she reached her hand up to touch her hair. Bringing her hand to her eyes she saw the white botterscotch icing that she had used to decorate the cake for tonight's dinner. For a few minute she was quiet, just staring at the icing on the tips of her fingers. Soon after, however, there was a blood curdeling shriek. "EMMETTE!"

" HOLY SHITTT" Emmett just ran as fast as he could. He hit the rug and fell and he just made himself crawl to the stairs " Almost there" he tried to get up. His heart was pounding like it was judgement day. His legs weren't working. Lord knew how his mom was. His ass was grass and he knew it.

Why was he always pulling these kind of stunts?! That hoghead! What, exactly, was so hard about waiting until after dinner?! Lizzy rushed into the hallway where the stair case was. She noticed her son right away, and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt. "Hmm." she said, pulling her son up effortlessly. "You weren't just cursing, where you?" she asked, somehow still looking menacing with the icing in her hair.

Lizzy didn't hesitate to trip him. Throwing his shirt on his head she shook her head at him dissaprovingly. "You're grounded. No band practise for a month. I'm taking both of your drum sets." And with that she was up the staircase and walking to his room. Lizzy did not hit her kids. She knew when to punish and when to yell. She was scary either way. Hitting? Bah! She didn't need it.

"Keep cursing," Lizzy said over her shoulder. "See if you get those drums back in one piece." She really did not approve of cursing. This probably stemmed from her teenage years when she had done nothing but insult her brother for what he was. Sighing softly to herself, she walked into his room and started to pick up his drum set.
