| He was furious? He was furious?! She was the one who had icing in her hair and down her shirt! It was because of him that yet again she would not be able to produce a full cake for dessert. What gave him the right to be angry?! Sometimes Emmett was too damned childish for her taste. If she wasn't against hitting children, he would have gotten a good licking from her by now. |

| Lizzy didn't exactly like to dwell on her previous marriage. Especially concidering the fact that both her brother and her father had both killed her ex husband when he had broken into their house and had attempted to rape her. It was deffinately a confusing and painful thing to think about. Which was why she didn't think about it. |

| Emmett didn't remember Marcus too much and whenever her asked she just say Ryan was his dad. Emmett knew that wasn't true. It might've worked for Melody but Emmett remembered marcus a little bit. Just not alot. | |

| Did it really matter if Ryan wasn't his birth father? Ryan had been able to accept both Emmett and Melody into his heart so quickly, as if they were his own. Marcus was their father? Big deal. The man had been one big child. There was no reason to be even remotely interested in what kind of life he had lead. |

| What exactly did he want to know? His father, simply put, was not a good person. Why would he want to know that the person whom had been a part of creating him had been an irresponsibile sex fiend? With a soft sigh, Lizzy placed his drum set back down and went to call her mother to see if Emmett was over at his grandparent's house. |

| Darrick shook his head. " oh man, hormones are flying better than wiches on broomsticks this week" he said to Carmella.
Emmett was just sitting in the living room calming down. | |

| Carmella sighed softly, rolling her eyes. While, sadly, Emmett had inherited quite a few things from his father there were still things that he had taken from Lizzy. Such as her block headed stubbornness. This was far from the first time that he had come here due to a fight he'd had with his mother. While he was a momma's boy at times, the two still seemed to lock horns. |

| Emmett was going through a rough time. His ex was quitting the band because she couldn't stand being near him . | |

| "Emmett?" Carmella asked softly, walking into the room. "Would you like something to eat?" It was roughly around dinner time, not to mention that he was her grandson. She refused to let him starve. "I can heat you up some leftovers, if you want. I don't mind making something fresh for you, either." she had noticed Emmett's moodiness. |

| "Are you sure, Sweetie?" Carmella asked, walking over to him. She placed a hand upon his shoulder, a gentle sign of understanding. "Would you like to talk about it or would you rather I leave you alone?" She was not a forceful woman. Carmella knew when to leave people alone, something that people appreciated about her. |

| "I'm sure that your mother didn't mean to make you feel worse. You mean the world to her. You're her first child." Carmella said softly, smiling gently at him. "I know that things are a big confusing right now for you," Somehow she could tell that he was having trouble with a relationship, "But God never closes a door without opening a window." Meaning that sooner or later things would look up for him. |

| "I'm sure that you will find someone who will help melt away all of the confusion." Carmella understood what it felt like to give yourself to someone whom you believed that you loved and would be with for the rest of your life. Sadly, things didn't always work out like that. "There is someone out there waiting for you to find them. Don't give up."
Joey sat quietly in a Starbucks, typing away on her mini laptop. She was a web design geek, and had even started her own little business. Currently she was working on creating a website for an up and coming publishing company. It seemed like a simple enough job. Sadly, though, no matter how simple a job may be, it always ended up taking over her life. She wasn't very social. |

| Carmella pat his shoulder, and then hugged him tenderly. Her poor grandson. "Why don't you go out for a little bit? I'll be sure to tell your mother where you went so that she won't have to worry." It was a Friday afternoon so he wouldn't need to worry about school the next day. "How does that sound, Sweetie?" Carmella asked. |

| "Just try and have some fun." Carmella encouraged, gently kissing the top of his head. He was more like his mother than she had noticed before. Sometimes people would joke that he was like his father, may the man forever burn in the depths of hell. Carmella didn't believe this. She saw more and more of Lizzy in him everyday. |

| "I'll have something warm for you to drink and eat for when you get back." Carmella said gently, hugging him one last time before letting him go. Just as she had worried for Lizzy's happiness, she worried for Emmette. His sister had found love three years ago with Seth, the son of Sophie and Jason. She didn't want him to be alone. |

| He had no reason to feel alone. Emmett was surrounded by people who cared about him. While it was nice to have a significant other, it was not an essential. Lizzy hadn't found the love of her life until she was twenty two years old. Conciderning her family's history with falling in love, that really did say a lot. |
