"Alright." Melody said, only pausing to retie her ponytail. "You may not be used to your speed just yet, so pace yourself." she suggested. And then in what was almost a wink of an eye, she was speeding over into the forest. Their targets were deer and rabbit.

Melody couldn't exactly understand how hard it must have been to him to get used to going from being at a human speed to being super speed. But it didn't seem long before he eventually got used to it. She spotted a small herd of deer and motioned for him to follow behind her. She then attacked a deer and bit into it's neck.

She gave him a signal to attack one himself. They were starting to run away knowing that their was a threat to their life, though it seemed obvious that their was a reluctance, a longing to help their fallen comrade. He still had a chance to get one.

Seth's lip quivered and he backed away. He was reluctant to hurt them.

After draining the deer, she gently placed the carcass down, and then turned to him. Wiping the blood from her lips, she sighed. "Don't think of it as something wrong," she murmured softly. "The venom kills them instantly, they don't feel any pain from it. It's like them being hunted for meat, but instead they feel no pain."

" I don't feel comfortable bout this" he said genlty, " Can I be a vegan?" he said with a winded breath.

"Seth, you have got to be kidding me." Melody said, her hands on her hips. "This is how you get blood when there are no other resources. Would you perfer going and sucking a human's blood?" She shook her head. "You've had venison before, haven't you?" she asked. "It's not much different."

Seth whinned and sat down pouting. Usually newborn vampires would be all over the blood but Seth was well weird.

Melody just bit her lip and looked away. This couldn't real. He hadn't been a vegetarian when he had been human. What was up with him? Sighing softly, she let herself rest against a tree. His training was deffinately not going as planned.

Melody looked up at this. "You are not." she said softly, gently walking over to him. "I know it's a little overwhelming at first, but it needs to be done." she said, gently kissing the top of his head. "it's not so bad. They die peacefully."

"I won't force you to do anything right now." she said sympathetically. "Why don't we go back home?" she offered, nuzzling him. They could try this again tomorrow. Melody didn't want to push him too hard.

Once they reached the house, she sat down on the small whicker couch and sighed thoughtfully. What was there to do now? The day was still considerably young. It was only around eleven 'o clock. They had the whole day to spend together.

Seth walked around and flopped in the grass pulling his shirt off.

Melody watched this with a raised brow, and then blushed when he stripped off his shirt. Surely it wasn't so hot that clothes needed to be taken off! Looking down her her hands, she cursed herself for blushing so easily. Why was she acting so shy? He was her mate, for goodness sake! It wasn't like she hadn't seen it before!

Yes, but he was making things a little bit difficult for her. Since they were new mates, it was a surprise that they weren't all over eachother constantly. But seeing him like this, Melody couldn't really guarentee that she was going to behave herself.

Well, it was certainly nice to know that as his mate she had no affect over him. Sighing softly, Melody went inside to go get a water bottle. Wiping some sweat from her brow she leaned against the counter and closed her eyes.

She had no idea how she affected him. Seth was learning to control himself.
