Ren nodded. "I will," she promised. If her leg began to hurt worse, she would push it and ask for more pain meds.

Ren eventually pushed the button, unable to handle the throbbing anymore. Once the nurse gave her the pain shot, she was out in like two seconds, in a drugged sleep in her love's arms.

Mike came back soon with her coffee and started playing the guitar again. Rose hummed along to the tune, it being a song that she and her dad had sang a lot when she was younger.

Soon, Mike and Rose were sitting side-by-side on the edge of the bed and singing together, causing nurses and other patients to come see who was throwing a concert.

Rose eventually felt high-spirited enough to get up and dance while she sang, not caring that she was in a hospital gown. She was having fun.
