It's a Love Story

Lilli moved into his lap and kissed him before laying her head on his shoulder.

Mike gently laid his guitar on the ground and held his wife in his arms.

She let him hold her, hoping the nurse wouldn't come in and tell one of them to leave. That would just make her already bad night worse.

About an hour passed, half an hour past visitor time, but the nurse didn't make Mike or his wife leave. The nurse who came in to check on them winked and whispered, "I won't make you go home. I'll pretend I didn't see you," before she left.

Lilli smiled slightly, hearing that. She stayed in Mike's lap, until early in the morning when he had to get up and get blood flow back into his legs.

Mike kissed his wife as he stood, smiling as he found the kids were still sleeping.

"Is the coffee place open?" Lilli asked with a yawn.

Mike looked at the clock. "It is," he smiled.

"You love me, right?" she smiled sweetly up at him.

"I do," he kissed her. "Do you want me to go fetch your coffee, love?"

She smiled at him and nodded. "I would love that." she said.

"Then your coffee, I shall get. Which kind would you like this morning, love?"

Lilli couldn't help but look at him lovingly. "any kind you get, my love."

"How about something chocolaty with whipped cream," he asked, wondering what kind of coffee mood she was in.

"Yeah!" she smiled and pulled him down for a kiss. "that sounds amazing."

He kissed her back lovingly. "Then a mocha-something you shall get," he chuckled and kissed her once more before he left.

Jon stired slightly, pulling Ren closer. He didn't really remember much of the last 48 hours.

Ren felt him move and instinctively moved closer, snuggling close to him. She was still asleep, but cold, so it was slowly waking her up.

In his sleep Jon had accidently taken the hospital beds covers off of her, not knowing that she was sleeping next to him. His body hurt and his muscles were screaming. But it felt good to have Ren in his arms.

Ren woke up, blinking her eyes open. "Jon, you took the covers," she whispered, shivering now.

Lilli saw them and went to them. Jon also woke up a little. "Huh?" he mumbled, looking around. "Where are we?"

"at the hospital," Ren told him, looking up at him. "You were sleeping the whole time..."

He looked around and saw him mom. He smiled slightly and relaxed as she helped him get covers over ren. "I'm sorry I took the covers." he whispered to her.

"It's okay," she whispered back, snuggling close to him under the covers. She winced as she moved her leg wrong and hurt it, but the sharp pain turned to throbbing, which she was able to handle.

"Do either of you need anything?" Lilli asked, seeing that Ren had winced.
