"Of course," he smiled down at her.

She smiled more. "What about beagles?"

"I've always wanted one," he smiled.

"Can we get one as a puppy and raise it togeter?" she asked.

"That sounds like a wonderful idea," he smiled.

She nodded, smiling. "when I'm better, we can pick them out together."

"It's a date," he smiled.

She nodded. "Good!" She said then yawned.

"You're tired," he murmured softly, stroking her hair. One of the dogs came in and barked once, wagging his tail.

"Joseph, this is Amy. Come lay down," he commanded the dog gently. The muscular dog jumped up onto the bed and laid on the other side of Amy, his tail still wagging. He sniffed her curiously, getting used to her smell.

Amy smiled and pet the dog. "You have more than just him." She asked.

"We do. There are too many," he chuckled. "Plus, you're tired. Joseph is the calmest of them all. He can stay here while you sleep."

She nodded and let the dog cuddle to her. "He's nice. I like him."

He chuckled. "He's my favorite, too," he said softly, scratching the dog's head.

"He can stay here?" she asked

"Of course, love," he smiled at her.

She smiled and nodded, cuddling with the dog as she began to fall asleep.

Once he was sure she was asleep, he got up, careful not to wake her, and went to bathe and get dressed. He ordered a meeting with the captains of the guards to heighten security and find the man who had snuck in before.

Andrew came back into the room quietly, not wanting to wake her.

Amy was awake, playing a small game of fetch with the dog. He seemed to know that she was hurt so he would carefully place the ball next to her, his tail wagging the whole time.

Andrew smiled. "He likes you," he noted of Joseph.

She nodded. "I like him." she smiled, tossing the makeshift ball again.

Joseph barked playfully and jumped after the toy, his tail still wagging a mile a minute.

Andrew chuckled and sat down next to his fiance. "I love you," he kissed her cheek softly.

she smiled at him, nodding. "I love you, too."

He smiled and held her as Joseph jumped back up onto the bed and crawled to Amy, gently laying the toy down on her lap and looking at her with his ears perked happily.
