Who should be rudely bargin' in on a white veil occasion, But you are not the kind of boy, Who should be marryin' the wrong girl,
I sneak in and see your friends, And her snotty little family, all dressed in pastel, And she is yelling at a bridesmaid, Somewhere back inside a room, Wearing a gown shaped like a pastry, This is surely not what you thought it would be, I loose myself in a daydream, Where I stand and say:
"Don't say yes, run away now, I'll meet you when you're out, Of the church at the back door, Don't wait or say a single vow, You need to hear me out," And they said, "Speak now,"
Fun gestures are exchanged, And the organ starts to play A song that sounds like a death march, And I am hiding in the curtains, It seems I was uninvited by your lovely bride-to-be, She floats down the isle like a pageant queen, But I know you wish it was me, You wish it was me, don't you?
Don't say yes, run away now, I'll meet you when you're out, Of the church at the back door, Don't wait or say a single vow, You need to hear me out, And they said, "Speak now,"
Don't say yes, run away now, I'll meet you when you're out, Of the church at the back door, Don't wait or say a single vow, Your time is running out, And they said, "Speak now,"
I hear the preacher say, "Speak now or forever hold your peace," There's a silence, there's my last chance, I stand up with shaking hands, All eyes on me, Horrified looks from everyone in the room, But I'm only lookin' at you,

| Role: [Him] Duke's Son Name: Andrew Age: 19 Personality: He doesn't like to disappoint his father, mostly because he doesn't feel like hearing him yell loud enough for the whole castle to hear once he gets going. Andrew has quite of an adventurous side, however, and tests his limits quite often. Eventually, his father let him go off and do whatever he want. But as his wedding date grows near, he's reeling his son in to settle down. It's hard to reel the fish in once you let it go, however... Bio: Andrew grew up in his father's own castle. His mother died giving birth to him, though she had very much wished that her husband would name their first son Andrew, and so his father complied once he saw her body with the wet nurse holding a crying baby boy. Andrew grew up with a bit of a mischief streak, always sneaking around the castle unchecked. Once he understood what humiliation and embarrassment felt like by the other nobles, he stopped (for the most part). He made fast friends with the other noble sons, and they'd play in the gardens together. His favorite thing to do was ride the horses through the fields. Role: [His Dad] Duke Name: Alfred Age: 40 Personality: He's been depressed ever since his beloved wife died, and thus extremely cranky. He doesn't understand why his son won't settle down so he can take his place as Duke. Bio: His father had always told him to do what he could to succeed and climb the social ladder. He hadn't been able to do that, but he was going to make sure his son did. | |

| Andrew grumbled, pulling the hood of his cloak down to cover most of his face. He had to get away from his father - he was driving him insane. Ashley was no better, demanding attention and his help for planning the wedding. He didn't want to plan it - she wanted a big, public wedding. He wanted something simple and quiet. So he was going into hiding for the night, going to the local bar where no one would find him. Hopefully.
"Your finest wine, please" the duke's son tried to disguise his voice as he ordered, keeping his head low. He heard ruckus going on in the center of the bar and turned his head to look, frowning. They were fussing over one of the waitresses. He soon found her - she was beautiful, no doubt. But it seemed she didn't like the lustful attention of the drunken men. Andrew stood and walked over to the loud group. "You're giving me a headache, gentlemen. If you'd kindly quiet down-"
"Who d'you think ya are," the biggest one frowned. "Tellin us to shut our mouths so you can enjoy your prissy drink."
"Girly boy," another drunk snickered. "Go on now, girly."
Andrew gritted his teeth. "Obnoxious, immature drunks, I see. Duke Henry, I believe your wife has been waiting for you," he murmured to the fattest one. "Or shall I go tell her where you are..?"

| The man behind the bar had been keeping an eye on his niece, she knew how to tease the men and she was doing fine keeping them from touching her to much. But when the young man got up and went to the group, he had to intervene. "The man's right, you're being to loud. There are no parties tonight. If you get any louder I'm going to have to cut you gentlemen off." | |

| The drunk men mumbled some threats, but Andrew knew they meant no harm. They wouldn't remember anything the next day, judging by how much was sitting in front of them still. Andrew sighed and took back his seat at the bar, drinking his wine and leaving a few gold coins for the bartender. He kept an eye on the visiting Duke, not quite sure what he was up to. He also couldn't help but look at the beautiful waitress. | |

| Amy eventually made her way to the man who had come to her rescue and put down another drink. "On the house." | |

| Andrew blinked and looked up at the young lady, though he made sure his hood wouldn't uncover his face as he did so. "What brought this on," he chuckled, disguising his voice. "I didn't do a thing." | |

| "I only said a few words. Nothing of importance," Andrew insisted kindly. He didn't like free things. He didn't like people taking advantage of what he was, and they didn't want them sucking up to him. | |

| He chuckled. "Another glass of wine, please," he said and put a few more gold coins on the counter, enough to pay for the shot she just had and his second glass of wine. He wouldn't take the money for the shot back. | |

| She smiled seductively at him and took the money, leaving the one for the shot she had drunken. "I said it was on the house." she said, walking away. | |

| She stopped and turned to look at him. "Give it to the homeless man on the corner." she told him, no more playfulness in her face. "I'll be back with your wine." she said, turning again and walking away. | |

| Amy came back, setting the wine in front of him. "How come I've never seen you here before?" She asked. There was almost no one else there, so she was able to make conversation. | |

| "I don't much like to be seen. I like quiet places. And I was thirsty. A glass or two of wine sounded good," he told her, taking a sip. | |

| "Andrew," he introduced himself with a smile. His name was popular, there was no way she could pinpoint that he was the duke's son. He stood and bowed politely and frowned when he heard officials making a ruckus outside, looking for the duke's son. | |

| He chuckled. "Thank you for the compliment. I am afraid I must be going, Amy," he bowed to her again. "I may stop by again," he smiled and left, dodging the city officials through the alleys. | |

| She smiled, not knowing at all who he was.
Ashley was sitting inside Andrew's room. They were suppose to have dinner together and he had never shown up.
