"Show me your gratitude by being the best Duchess this city has ever known," she smiled.

She smiled brightly though fear was in her eyes. "I will try."

Abigail didn't miss the fear in her eyes. "What are you afraid of, sweetie?"

"Being duchess." She said softly.

"Why are you afraid," she asked. "You will be wonderful."

"But I don't know what to do, how to act. I'm not royalty." she said.

"The duchess sets the fashion statements, sweetie," she smiled. "And look at Andrew, he isn't exactly the prime example of royalty. His father would rather have Ashley for his daughter than Andrew for his son."

"He can have her for all I care. I just want Andrew." she smiled.

Abigail laughed. "Yes, I know. He will surely be yours, by no one's surprise, with your new dress," she grinned.

"I don't need the dress to have Andrew's heart, though." she said. He definately already had hers.

"but to make it appear like it to everyone else," Abby pointed out. "You will be meeting for the first time, remember," she winked.

"Even if we were really meeting for the first time, I wouldn't need the dress." she smirked.

Abby laughed. "True, I suppose," she chuckled.

She nodded, her hand on her stomach. She was pregnant but didn't know it. The first night they had been together they had conceived, She had thrown up a few morning, but had also partied that night with Andrew in the pub.

"I should let you to your day," she smiled. "I will see you the day of the ball, milady," she giggled excitedly.

She nodded, smiling. "Thank you Abby."

"Anytime, sweetie," she hugged her, gathered the dress and put it in it's protective bag, then practically bounced all the way back to her place.

Amy laughed, finishing getting dressed and going down stairs, waiting for night to come for Andrew to visit.

Andrew came that night, met her behind the bar. He looked exhausted, but elated to see her. "I've missed you," he told her when he saw her, hugging her tight.

She smiled and hugged him back, kissing his lips softly. "You look tired, love."

"Absolutely exhausted," he smiled. "But I will not pass up a chance to see you, dearest," he kissed her back softly.

She smiled and hugged him. "Come. Let's get you to my room so you can rest." she said, taking his hand.

He smiled and followed her. "Thank you, love," he told her gently.

She quietly led him up the stairs and to her room, holding the door open for him.

He went into her room and waited until she gave him permission to relax before he moved from the center of the room.
