He held her close and checked her bandages again, just in case. "Are you hurting," he asked softly.

She nodded. "A little."

"Do you want some whiskey for the pain," he asked her softly.

She nodded. "Yes."

He got the the bottle and gave her some shots for the pain, laying with her and holding her. "Sleep well, love," he whispered.

"Thank you my beloved." she mumbled.

He held her, kissing her cheek softly.

She quickly fell asleep, happy in his arms.

Andrew held her, falling back asleep eventually.

A few weeks later, Amy was all healed and had full reign of the estate they were living on. Once she was better, Andrew was engulfed into his roll as duke and making the country a better place for the rest of the people. One day, when she was tired of not seeing him, Amy went to find her love. One, because she had a new dress and two, because she missed him. She found him in his office and came up behind him, covering his eyes with her hands.

Andrew chuckled and took her hand down gently, smiling up at her. "Hello, dearest," he stood and kissed her tenderly. He didn't care that other officials were in the room. "I love your gown," he smiled, twirling her slowly. "Did Jess make it for you?"

She smiled brightly at him and nodded, her hands running down the stomach of the dress, smoothing it out. "Yes, she did. You really like it?"

"I love it," he smiled happily.

She smiled. "when are you done?" She asked. "I miss you." she slipped into his arms, resting her head on his shoulder.

He held her, resting his chin on her hair. "Almost. This is the last meeting," he assured her. "Then we will go plan our wedding," he smiled down at her.

She smiled up at him. "Good. I will see you tonight, right?" there were lots of nights when he didnt come in until late.

"I won't be another hour, sweet," he promised her with a kiss. "Can you go have cook make dinner for when I am done here," he asked her softly.

she nodded, stepping back but still keeping her arms around his waist. "Of course. What do you want?"

"Whatever you want. Tonight is a celebratory night. My bride will choose," he smiled and kissed her.

She smiled and kissed back. "Alright. I'll make sure it's good." she said.

He smiled and kissed her. "Thank you, dearest."

She smiled more and nodded. "I'll see you soon, right?"

"As soon as the meeting is done," he promised.

She nodded and gave him a passionate kiss, letting a little bit of her lust leak in. "I'll be in the gardens." she purred, letting go of him and walking out.

He chuckled and watched her walk out and cleared his throat to sit back down. "Now, where were we..." he went back to his meeting with the men. As promised, the remainder of the meeting hadn't lasted more than an hour.
