"Sure." she said softly, closing her eyes. Jean had missed his cuddley nature. When they had been friends with benefits, he hadn't cuddled with her or held her like this. Not to her knowledge, anyway.

Jean laughed softly. "You know, I have the most overpowering craving for pasta right now." she teased, nuzzling him. Adam could also be really cute and sweet when he wanted to be. Jean felt very fortunate to have him, especially now when she needed support the most.

Jean smiled and watched him walk into the house before sighing softly. She was happy to be with Adam, but deep down she was still frightened. A child. Jean wasn't sure if she was capable of being a good mother or not. God, she just didn't know anything anymore. What if she was just the absolute worst mother?

Ruby had left about an hour ago to speak with Jean's doctor. Even if Jean was trying to be mature about this and handle it on her own, Ruby still wanted to know all that she could to try and make this as easy for Jean as possible. What mattered the most was that Jean remained calm.

"No thank you." Ruby said, brushing some of her damp hair from her eyes. A light rain fall had started just as she had returned home. Had she returned home any later, she would have found herself soaked to the boan. Yawning softly, she removed her coat and hat, and placed them on the coat rack.

What were his ears doing out in the first place? Ruby yawned softly to herself, and then groaned softly. She was getting old. Unlike her daughter, she was not a vampire. Jean's father had left Ruby before he had even been able to learn of her pregnancy. Perhaps it was better that way. That she die alone. She had already gone through love once, and it had hurt. It was better to just be alone like this. Growing old and dying alone.

Adam's ears came out of his head now and then. It convayed his feels sometimes.

Ruby didn't mean to be harsh on Adam. She just got this way evertyime this time of year came around. Tonight was the anniversery of the night that Jean's father had left her. Sighing softly and brushing some of her damp red hair from her eyes, she went up to her bedroom to get changed into her lounge clothes. Also known as pajamas.

Lighting flashed and thunder rumbled as a blurr passed and lept up the vines of the house. Dawson climbed in the pouring down rain. His fair sliver blonde hair flickered in the flashes of light as his eyes searched through the windows.
He looked and saw a young woman with a wolf he growled. No....she couldn't be that young. She had to be an older woman now... He kept climbing till he came to Ruby's bedroom.

Ruby was in her later thirties now. She had given birth to Jean at a very young age, around eighteen or nineteen years old. It had been hard being a single mother. As she reached her bedroom, she closed the door, and then started to undress. She tugged at the scrunchy that held back her long hair, and let it fall to her shoulders.

Dawson gently lifted the window and crept inside. He quietly moved around the room looking at pictures on the dresser and wall. "....Ruby....did you marry?" he said softly looking at the little girl in the pictures. It wasn't till he looked at her eyes that he knew. This little girl was his. " Why didn't you tell me.....were you too afraid of me.... I left because you said I was a monster..." He said softly. He knew she was in the bathroom.

Ruby looked at herself quietly in the mirror and sighed. Already she was starting to get crows feet. For a minute she pressed a hand to her face, as if she could just hide from the rest of the world. When Dawson had left, that had been it for her. She had basically given up on dating and trying to find anyone else. It had hurt to much. He had been her first everything. Sighing softly, she pulled on her pajamas, and then brushed her hair out. Walking out of the bathroom, she froze in her steps. Oh, God. She was seeing a ghost.

Ruby held her breath, unsure of what to do. Retreat back into the bathroom? She would have to come back out eventually! Try and leave her room? He would probably notice her! Taking a deep breath, she knew there was only one thing to do. Walking over to the bed, she stopped before actually taking a seat. "Long time since I've seen you, Stranger."

" It has been a long time" He agreed. " Yet....it feels like only yesterday.........Ruby......." He looked up at her the same boyish face but his eyes showed his immaturity and temper of a young man was now calmed and time smoothed the cooled lava into quartz crystals of beauty and splendor.

"It feels a lot longer for me." she disgareed. "Maybe because I'm closer to dying." Brushing some of her hair from her eyes, she tried not to let her old girlish hormones take over just like they had done the first time she had laid eyes on him. "You haven't aged even a little bit." she marveled, her hands itching to reach out and touch him.

"I'm closer to dying than you are." she whispered softly. He was still so beautiful. Her hands were balled into fists so that she wouldn't reach out and entangle a few locks of his silvery blonde hair in her fingers. He was too perfect. She knew all too easily that she had never lost her attraction to him. Of course her older form probably disgusted him.

She couldn't look up at him. "You would have regretted it later." Ruby didn't have a lot of nice things to say about herself. Sighing softly, she finally looked back up. "Where have you been, Dawson?" she asked. It was funny that he would show up on the anniversery of the day he had left.
