"Quit walking away from me." she spat back, not letting up on this. How had she fallen for someone who was so stubborn? Once they were out of the building, she sighed, the cool air pressing against her skin. "You're impossible, you know that?" she asked him.

Jean sighed and then shook her head. "Adam?!" she cried, exasperated. She really didn't know what else to say. Yes, she had dumped him. And yes, he deserved to grieve over it, but... ugh! What did he want from her? She just didn't love him like she had before. That wasn't her fault.

"Why do you have to be like this?" she asked. "So stubborn and impossible. Why can't you just get over it? Really. "I.. I just.." she paused to shake her head. She was just at the end of her rope with him. How was it possible to be so worried about someone but also want to kill them at the same time?

"Adam, where are you going?!" she cried, though she was afraid to find out. Yet at the same time she couldn't just let him leave. Taking in a breath, she quickly followed after him, trying to get sight of him. It was as the forrest was starting to clear that she saw him. "Adam.."

" Jean, I love you, I will never get over you" he threw himself off the cliff into the ocean below.

Jean had been about to interupt him and tell him to get over it. She had been about to insensitively tell him that he needed to move on and get another girlfriend. But before she could, he did something really messed up. He jumped. A cry of "ADAM!" echoed loudly throughout the woods. It took her five minutes later to realize that it had been her who had said it.

Adam coughed as he came to the surface and climbed up the rocks. He hated to do that but she didn't need him messing her life up.

Jean fell to her knees, burying her fists against her eyes as salty tears slid by. She wasn't sure whether or not to be mournful or to curse Adam for putting such guilt on her shoulders. Suicide. He had commited suicide because of her. How would she ever be able to live with herself?

Despite herself, she cried for him. Jean tried really hard to grit her teeth and bare it, but she knew that it was no use. Adam had been her first love and now he was dead. Dead because of her. After a good half hour or so, she managed to pick herself up, and sadly left to go back to the campus and her dorm room.

How could she forget her first love? And the fact that he had killed himself because of her? Not to mention the fact that deep down in her belly welled the feeling of loss and loneliness. She was in her own personal hell. Walking back to the college, she hardly even noticed that there was a different security guard as she walked back to her room.

How exactly did Jean look happy? Once she reached her dorm she walked over to her dresser and then picked up a small jewelery box. On the inside was the locket that he had meant to give her on her anniversery. The one that a friend of her's had found in the hallway and given to her. Jean shook her head before placing it back at the very bottom of the jewelery box.

5 months passed since the night of Adam's "death".

Dean was walking up the stairs to get his cell from Jean's room. If he didn't get his cell it might go off and he didn't want Jean to find out bout Rachel.

Jean's relationship with Dean wasn't the same way that she had planned for it to be when she had first met him. He had mostly been the bandaid to keep her mind off of Adam. His death had left her really glitched, and she wasn't sure what she would do if Dean wasn't there. This wasn't to say though that she was dull and lifeless. She still went out with him and all that, but it wasn't in a romantic way at all. This didn't stop her from convincing herself that she loved him.

Dean knocked on her door.

Adam was living in the woods. He came out during the full moon to watch Jean sleep in her dorm at night. Adam still loved her all th e same.

Jean looked up at this, and promptly went to go answer the door. She smiled seeing Dean. "Hey." she said softly, leaning up and kissing his cheek. "Did you forget something?" Dean had only left about five minutes ago.

"Ah." Jean said, moving out of his way so that he could go look for her. While she had slowly convicned herself that she loved Dean, she still wasn't sure how he felt about her. He stayed with her through her whole dilemna, but she wasn't sure whether or not that meant that he loved her in return.
