Joseph smiled and nodded. "It's almost ready. You're welcome to join us. I'll have cook put a couple more chairs at the table. How was Elizabeth, better than the last you saw her," he asked, wanting Jarred's opinion.

Jarred grunted and looked away. "I wasn't there for the whole thing..but she's definitely faster." he said, nodding. Grant grinned. "Hell yeah she is. Either way, if she feels sore, she should soak in a warm bath, sir." he said, making sure that his little trainee would be feeling better tomorrow. "Is she asleep then?" Jarred asked, raising a brow.

Joseph nodded. "You're welcome to go wake her up and talk with her," he told the younger wolf with a smile.

Jarred shook his head. "I shouldn't do that. She's tired." he said, smiling weakly as they then walked into the dining room.

Sara was setting the table. She looked up and saw Jarred and smiled brightly, going to hug him. "Welcome back, dear. We've missed you. How have you been," she smiled at him.

Jarred gulped at the hug, but he welcomed it. "Just fine. Just trying my best to keep these areas safe.." he said, smiling. Grant grinned, "Well, you sure are a lot less grumpy when being here, boy." he said, grinning.

Sara smiled. "Will you be joining us for dinner?" she asked both the wolves.

The both of them nodded, licking their lips as they smelled chicken in the air. "Wait, will Elizabeth be joining us for dinner?" Jarred asked, wondering. Grant only scoffed, knowing just how eager the young pup was to see the girl even if he hid it well from her parents.

"She may be a bit tired yet, but we can take some up to her," Sara nodded.

Jarred nodded, sitting down while Grant continued to tease him quietly. Jarred though only cared because she did so much for him especially her parents. How could he not care? As the dinner was put on the table, the two wolves gorged themselves silly though with certain respect at the table.

Sara had to chuckle at how fast they ate. She was truly happy to see Jarred, though. She thought of him as her foster son of sorts.

Even after dinner, Jarred felt insatiable. Grant however was picking at his teeth respectively and smiled. "Very well done, cook." he complimented when she came about to pick up the plates. She of course shined and was glad to hear such a comment from such a nice young man. "Well then, how are things going?" Jarred asked, wanting to know their latest bouts.

"the townspeople have all but gone back to normal. No one's angry, just the usual gossip," Sara smiled. "Ladies love to talk, you know," she chuckled.

"Oh geez, women." both Grant and Jarred said, rolling their eyes. Jarred only sighed, smiling a bit. "Ah, and they say what?" he grinned, curious of what women speak of. They always look at him but not in a bad way as they used to. Perhaps they speak well somewhat of him or wolves in general. Grant twitched. "Trust me, it's not pleasant." he warned the younger wolf.

"Some of it is," Sara chuckled. "Let's see... Some of the gossip is about affairs, some of it's about misbehaving kids, things like that. Some of it's about who will marry who - those are always amusing," she chuckled.

Jarred and Grant both shuddered. "Well, thankfully we don't deal with that." Jarred said, shaking his head as he stood. "I'll check on the poor girl and then take my leave, it's getting late." he smiled, going up the steps to go to her room and already telling where she was. Her scent was that of lavender and roses, something that piqued any man's interest. He knocked on the door lightly, then looked through the small opening to see if she was even awake.

Joseph chuckled and nodded, giving Jarred permission to go check on his daughter.

Elizabeth was sound asleep, still in her combat clothes. She was curled up on her side, her face gentle and actually ladylike in peace.

Jarred stared, gulping. Instead of rough and tough, she looked..graceful, if not elegant in her sleep. He shook his head, sighing as he walked in quietly and knelt to her bed, shaking her shoulder gently. "Hey.."

She frowned and opened her eyes tiredly, blinking them to try to get them to focus. "Jarred," she mumbled, rubbing her eyes. "What's going on," she sat up, wondering why it was he who was waking her up.

Jarred twitched and grunted. "Wanted to check up on you, your parents wanted me to. Either way, it was also dinner time..just wondering if you have the energy to eat." he muttered, trying to pass off his worry.

She nodded tiredly, wincing as she swung her legs over the edge of her bed. She was sore all over from her excercise, but she easily pushed through the pain in her muscles.

"You don't have to get up. Dinner can wait." Jarred said, a hand on her shoulder as if he was going to stop her.

She looked up at him to see if he meant it. "Are you sure? I can get dressed quickly for dinner," she said.

Jarred grunted. "Dinner's already over. We just have a warm plate waiting for you. But you don't have to get up. You're in pain and don't tell me otherwise." he said, slowly pushing her back onto the bed firmly.

She started to argue, but gave up. "Can I at least change out of these clothes into something comfortable," she asked him.
