She smiled sleepily up at him. "Hey," she yawned again. "You didn't go to the compound," she asked, cuddling close to him.

Matthew smiled back, hugging her close. "Yes, we did...you've been asleep for almost two days, Jasmine.." he said, kissing her head and smelling her. He missed her scent and hearing her voice.

"Two days," she repeated with a frown. "It feels like I was just talking to you a few minutes ago. I must have been exhausted." Then her stomach growled, and she winced a little bit. "I'm hungry," she said, sitting up slowly. Her muscles were stiff and sore from staying still so long.

Matthew chuckled, nodding. "Yeah, I'm sure you are." he said as he helped her up and rubbed her shoulders. "You sit on the bed, I'll get you something to eat." he said, kissing her cheek as he left the room.

She nodded and waited patiently, wondering what she'd missed while she'd been out cold.

Matthew had then returned with a full plate with fruits, warm pancakes with healthy bacon on the side and strawberries over them. He just hoped it was enough as he also included a large cup of orange juice. "This enough or more?" he chuckled as he placed it beside her on the bed where she sat.

She practically drooled at the sight of it. "I think that's plenty, thank you. It looks so good," she grinned as she dug in. "So what'd I miss," she asked with her mouth full. "What'd you find at the compound?"

Matthew sighed. "We found nothing. Not even a trace of infiltration within the compound. Seems our systems took good care of any intruders apparently. But still..it was odd. I think the idea was to get us scattered, to get us to be taken out one by one or if at all, all at once." he sighed, shaking his head.

"Why aren't we there now," she asked curiously, knowing they could easily carry her.

"They were waiting on you...they were worried. Especiallly since Tess seems like she's ready to pop at any moment. Her mate's having a fit." Matthew chuckled, kissing her head. "But once you're up to speed, we'll be going as well."

She nodded. "Once I finish eating? Then we'll go?"

"Yes. So don't feel rushed." Matthew reassured, rubbing her tense shoulders.

She nodded and slowed down on her eating. "That feels nice," she murmured between bites of her bacon.

Matthew grinned a bit, nodding. "Of course, the blood's rushing back plus, you fed on a bit of my blood a night ago so, it won't take long." he said, smiling.

She smiled and nodded, saying she was ready when the food was gone and she was relaxed from her massage.

Once everything was good to go, including that Tess wasn't about to pop or that any one was behind, they rolled out. All the males were glad to return to their compound, glad to put on more security for incoming threats once again. Just for their own safety and of the women. Everyone (even Lucan) allowed themselves a night to relax when they got to their rooms, not worrying about things til the next day.

Once they were safe and able to relax, Jasmine smiled, cuddling close to her mate. "I'm sorry I worried you," she told him softly.

Matthew nodded. "Yeah, and you were worn out. You were pale as a sheet and it honestly scared the living crap out of me. I thought that you were on the brink of dying.." he said, gulping.

She kissed him softly. "But I didn't," she nuzzled him lovingly.

Matthew held her and breathed easy. "Luckily....Anyways, you didn't experience anything odd when you slept? No weird dreams?" he asked, looking at her seriously.

She shook her head. "No dreams. Just... Well, nothing, really," she told him. "Just felt like I had nodded off and the next thing I know, it's two days later."

"You worry me, woman." Matthew sighed, shaking his head and smiling a bit. "Don't push yourself so hard next time."

She chuckled. "I won't if you stop pushing yourself so hard with your bloodlust. If you need blood, then take it from me," she told him.

Matthew grunted. "It's not blood lust. I'm not a rogue...yet." he muttered, looking away and a bit insulted.

"I didn't mean you were turning rogue," she frowned. "I mean stop denying yourself of blood when you need it. You were hurt plenty of times and you still refused my blood."
