It's a Love Story

She nodded. "alright. If you're sure." she said, starting to put things away already.

He helped her put the things away and wash the dishes.

Roman was the first done and she rinced her plate and put it in the dish washer.

"I like how the girls are getting a shopping spree after they got suspended," Mike chuckled, teasing.

"Aww, Dad. Come on, don't say we can't go..." Rosie said, turning around in her chair.

"I'm not," he chuckled.

"And it wasn't even our fault!" Jon said. "They started it."

Mike laughed. "What do you think, love," he asked his wife, teasing their kids.

She smiled. "Well... since I want some new clothes, I suppose I can take Ren. And, two of her friends."

"Hmm... I wonder which friends she'll take," Mike chuckled.

"TAKE MEE," Rosie begged Ren.

Ren laughed. "Okay, I choose Rose and... Hmm... Who else," she said, giggling.

"I'm not begging if that's what you want me to do." Roman said, smirking at Ren.

"Jon, would you like to go," Ren asked, teasing.

Rose laughed.

Jon smiled. "I'd love to but I have a previous engagement to spend the day with my dad. Looks like my little sister will just have to miss out."

"Aw, that's a shame. I like your sisters," she sighed.

Roman glared playfully at Jon before sighing and looking away. "Alright fine, I wanna go."

"Yay!" Ren and Rose said at the same time, then busted out in giggles after looking at each other.

Mike smiled, glad to see them getting along like actual siblings.

Roman just laughed at them then looked at her mom. "So, what are we having for dinner tonight? When Pavo comes?" she asked.

"Uhm.. Not sure..." Lilli said, then looked at Mike.

"Hmm.. Well... Why don't you ask him what he wants to eat and I'll see if I can't fix it up for him," Mike told his youngest, smiling.

"Dad, you're not supposed to text the guy first, he's supposed to text you," Rose said.

"Oh, yeah. I forgot," he chuckled, rolling his eyes. "Then how about pork steaks?"

"How about a normal barbeque?" Jon suggested. "He's an exchange student, right? So show him what normal American families do."

"Yeah!" Roman smiled. "With hamburgers and hot dogs and chips and dip and potato salad. Daddy, please?"

Mike chuckled. "Alright, alright, alright. But I want steak, so I'll get some for me," he grinned.

"Do you think that Grandma and Grandpa can come? It could be a whole party!" Roman smiled.

"Grandma could make her one berry cobler." Jon added.

Mike nodded. "I'll call them up, and your aunt and uncle."

Roman nodded. "Yeah! Ohh, I'm excited!" she smiled.

Pavo yawned, waking up. He blinked and reached for his phone, looking up the number he'd put in for Roman.
Good morning, Madam Roman. Is dinner still on for tonight? he texted her.

Mike pulled out his phone and dialed his sister first.

Cassie answered, sounding tired. "Mikey, what is it," she yawned. "It's early..."

"Morning, sis," he grinned. "You want to come over for barbeque tonight? Bring Jared and the kids?"

"Sure..." she yawned again.

"You want hot dogs, burgers, or a steak," he asked her.

"All three sound really good... All of them," she said.

Mike blinked in response. "Can you eat that much?"

"I'm pregnant, Mike. I eat the whole refrigerator every morning for breakfast and midnight snacks. I'm pretty sure I can."

"Okay," he laughed. "I'll get them set aside for you then." He looked at Lilli. "You want her to go shopping, too," he mouthed to her.

Lilli smiled and nodded. "Yeah! We'll pick her up."

Roman's phone vibrated and she smiled seeing it was Pavo.
It is. But it sort of grew. she sent.

"You want to go shopping with Lilli and the girls," Mike asked his sister.

"Sure. What time?"

"They're gonna leave here as soon as everyone's done with breakfast. Can you get ready that fast?"

"I'll ask Jared to help me, but it's do-able."

"Call Lilli when you're ready. She'll pick you up."

"Alright. See you, Mikey."

"See ya," he smiled and hung up the phone. He called his parents next, and they agreed to the barbeque. Mike didn't even ask his mom if she wanted to go shopping. He knew she was busy with the hospital and was tired in the morning. No one wanted a grumpy grandma.

Grew? Pavo blinked, sitting up in his bed.

Jared woke up as Cassie hung up the phone. "What's going on?" he mumbled, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.

yeah... We decided to make the dinner a BBQ and to invite my whole family plus my sisters bf. Hope that's okay.

Roman sent, a little scared this would be to much for him.
