It's a Love Story

"I love you, too," he kissed her softly. "Will you be alright here for a few minutes while I go get it?"

She nodded, rubbing her belly. "Yeah, I should be. If I need you I'll call you."

He nodded and kissed her lovingly. "I have my phone on me. I'll be back in minutes," he told her and hurried so he could come back with her food.

Eventually Lilli got bored and got out of the bed, going down stairs wondering if Cassie was still there.

Cassie was staring at the card the man had given her, staring at his name and remembering his face.

Lilli came in and sat next to her. "What is that?" she asked.

"Ohh," Cassie jumped, startled and blushing. "You scared me, I didn't know you were awake yet." She looked back down at the card. "This guy let me borrow my phone when Mine died, and then helped jump-start my car, and then brought Jon's pencils back when he'd dropped them in the parking lot. He asked to help out so he could get to know me and just, well... help," she told her sister-in-law. "That probably sounds a little creepy... But he's really really REALLY hot," she blushed.

"So, go out with him." Lilli smiled. "I haven't seen you with anyone since we were younger."

Cassie shook her head. "You and Mikey need me," she contradicted. She didn't want to let them down.

"I think that Mike and I can handel a few hours without you." she smiled.

Cassie thought hard. "Are you sure," she asked.

she nodded, "Yes, I'm sure."

"Do you promise that you'll text me or call me if you need anything at all," she asked.

she smiled, nodding. "Yes, Cassie. I promise."

Cassie hugged her. "Thank you," she murmured and went to get the phone to call him.

Lilli smiled. "Go get him, Cassie."

Cassie smiled, blushing a bit, as she dialed the number and hit the call button, putting it up to her ear.

Jared picked up his phone, not knowing the number. "Hello?" he asked.

"Oh!! Uhh... Hi, it's uhm.. Cassie," she stuttered. "You helped me out today," she said, in case he forgot. God, she must sound like an idiot.

He smiled and nodded. "I remember. How are you?"

"I'm good," she said. "Uhm... Did you still wanna... Wanna go out sometime," she asked, her face red.

"Of course!" he said, smling more now. "What do you have in mind?"

"I don't know, actually... I was hoping you had an idea," she said, feeling dumb, her face still red. She was still fairly new to the whole dating thing.

"Alright. Are you staying at your brother's house tonight?" he asked.

"I think so, yes," she said, nodding.
