It's a Love Story

Jon was dressed a bit nicer with new, dark blue jeans on and a simple black shirt on. He held her hand tightly, letting her know that he was there for her and that this was real as he took her inside the house.

Mike was playing his guitar, singing to Lili as she sat on the couch, both having a glass of wine with the kids out of the house.

When the song was done, he looked over at Ren and Jon, smiling. "Hey, kiddo. Who's this," he asked, putting his guitar down to go introduce himself.

Jon smiled. "This is Ren. Some guys at the party messed up her bike and I offered to fix it." Though, both parents knew he knew nothing about fixing anything unless it was a peice of art. "And when I took her head, she seemed amazed at the house so, I thought I'd show her around." he shrugged. "Ren, these are my parents, Lilli and Mike Kinskey."

"It's nice to meet you," she told his parents, almost feeling like she was meeting celebrities. His mom was, to more people than she knew.

Mike shook her hand, smiling. "A pleasure. Welcome to our home, Ren."

"Thank you," she smiled.

Lilli stood, taking Mike's hand and smiling at Ren. "You're welcome here anytime." she said. "A friend of Jon's is a friend of ours."

Jon chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck. "Alright... Time for the tour." he said.

Mike chuckled at their boy and left the two to their tour while Mike grabbed his guitar again, sitting next to his wife.

"Your parents are nice," she told him as they walked away.

He nodded, smiling. "They meant everything they just said." He said, taking her around the first floor. It was full of his and his mom's work.

Ren smiled and looked at all the artwork. "Wow, these are amazing," she murmured.

He smiled. "That one is mine." he said softly then pointed to another one. "That's my mom's."

"You're both so talented," she exclaimed. "Every single one of these is beautiful."

He smiled and nodded. "Thank you." he said softly. "Anyways, this was the first floor, the only thing upstairs are bedrooms, a drawing room for me and my mom." he shrugged.

"Such a big house. How do you not get lost?"

He chuckled. "I've lived here for a few years now. But, I get confused more than lost."

She smiled. "What's your favorite piece of art you made," she asked him curiously.

"Oh uhm, you wouldn't want to see it..." he said softly. It was of her. He was doodling in one class and found himself drawing her with her hair out of her eyes. Then he went home and spent everyday after school for a week doing a large scale coal drawing of that doodle.

"You don't have to show me if it's private," she told him gently.

"Maybe later." he said softly. He didn't want to scare her away. "But I'll show you my second favorite."

"Okay," she smiled.

He smiled and took her hand, leading her up the stairs. "Alright." He said, leading her into the rather large art studio him and his mom used. On an esiel there was a drawing.

She gaped at it. "It looks just like a photograph! This is amazing," she said, getting closer to it to study the detail. "Not one thing out of place, wow..."

He smiled, looking at the drawing himself. "It's my little sister." He mumbled.

"She's pretty," she smiled. "Your whole family is attractive."

Jon chuckled and rubbed the back of his neck again. "Thanks."
